Re: Expression Pedal Idea?
I would like to see all kinds of interesting alternatives to expression pedals.
Right now I am trying to find the ideal expression solution for my Boss RE-20 Space Echo. Any thoughts?

Re: Expression Pedal Idea?
How about some kind of device that would attach through the expression pedal input that could be midi-synced?

Re: Expression Pedal Idea?
What do you want to do ? Change the parameters of a pedal sitting there?
One parameter? multiples?
There are many many options from the simple pot in a box to Multiple lfos, joy sticks and motion sensors/detectors. This could also be done with lasers and sound detectors, piezo elements, pressure sensors/detectors.
Pretty much any thing that varies a resistance, capacitance or sends out a signal could be uses as the expression control.
there is also touch pad or heat sensitive material.
One could build a combination of touch sensitive/heat sensitive material into a fret board, or guitar body. Of course then you have multi pinned cables and the need for an interface to route the signals where they need to go.
Ok I forgot where I was going with this
Most of the time I'm a set it and leave it player. I've found where each effect sounds best to me and in the music, and leave it there. I do like lots of control when I am setting things up though.
I do need a Bass Murf.

Re: Expression Pedal Idea?
I need just about all of the Moog pedals...
I'd love to see an expression-centric fuzz. Not just so it's the tone, but maybe something where you could switch it around on the fly so that various different areas could be expression-controlled, so the fuzz could become a volume fuzz, or a wah fuzz, or even one where the fuzz sensitivity itself was expression-controlled, so the overall fuzz timbre could be controlled expressively.
Would that be cool? Or has it already been done somewhere, by someone?

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.
