You should tell someone to note it on your account that you don't want confirmation calls. That shouldn't take but a few moments. My agent never calls me, unless I ask him to.

I've also had Sweetwater remove FedEx from my shipping options, because FUCK FedEx.

But then I can't stew in my own little irritated world...

Good call though, never thought to do that.

The Sweetwater emails that ask "Are you still doing it?" are somewhat offensive to me. As if I quit music because I stop buying things from Sweetwater.

And there was an odd moment in my house when my female sales agent called and spoke to my wife. I think she didn't identify herself from Sweetwater at first. My memory is fuzzy on this now. (EDIT: Rep didn't identify herself at all, just some strange woman calling for me)

I did just buy some cables from Sweetwater though. Their cable finder makes it easy to locate the weird connectors.

Would've been "funnier" if you'd've gotten divorced because of it and then sued Sweetwater. :idk:

I never really thought about asking sweetwater to stop calling. Its more funny and surreal than anything.

"Is there anything you've been looking at buying?"

"You got any bok choy? I'm making stir fry and the selection here is a little wilted."

One time I placed an order with them and they told me it was too late to ship that day. I mentioned being bummed because I needed it in time for a show that weekend and shipping the next day it wouldn't arrive in time. The next day I got the shipping notification as usual, looked at the tracking and it said it was already on the way and had been dropped at the post office at like 10-11PM the night before. I don't know if someone there drove it to the post office themselves or what because they never said anything to me but I got my order in time for the show so those dudes can call me as much as they want because that's amazing service.

Woah that's impressive. Perfect Circuit Audio just takes my money and says everythings cool and then refunds it a day or two later when they realize the item is out of stock. Twice now with the same thing. The first time they didnt even email me. Pull it together synth nerds, I need that koma kommander so I can dance naked over it and give new meaning to the term sag control.

They did the same thing to me with the Koma Kommander that I ordered from their Reverb store. I actually wound up ordering it like 4 times in succession knowing full well they probably didn't have it it stock (despite them still listing it in stock) just to waste their time refunding my money because they wasted my time. I showed 'em.

Thanks for reminding me, I should go look for one again.

Fuck, I don't even like those.

I've gotten fewer but not zero calls from Sweetwater since asking them repeatedly to not do their random ass calls. Weirdest part is the voicemail each successive drone leaves of their sad bio "in the business." Most of it sounds like piano lessons and high school AV club to me. And I say this as a total fucking dilettante myself.

Man, I never knew how special my relationship was with my Sweetwater agent, until reading all these comments.

I can call my dude up anytime and just rap (no cold calls, no up-selling). I'm also 99% sure, that if I ever decided to tour Sweetwater's campus/physical store, that my agent would meet me for a beer after his shift. ---I really won the salesman lottery.

I don't know what's available in Ft. Wayne in terms of courier services/supplemental handlers, but large Web/mail-order businesses have trucks coming and going all day. If you order enough stuff from warehouses, you'll see some really weird times. I ordered something (from a bookstore?) the other weekend without any special rush instructions, and it was physically accepted into the USPS system at around 10 pm on a Sunday.

They all suck lately. UPS started sending my most recent package BACK to where it came from. USPS was supposed to deliver my CT5, then marked as "undeliverable with no secure location, note left" when actually no note was left and never had a problem before. Thankfully the guy at the distribution office took my tracking number and name and found the package anyway.

Edited my post. Wife confirmed that sales agent never identified herself from the company, just her name. We have a good relationship, trusting, etc...Good thing. I know some people would go off the deep end at just the thought...
