pitch pirate - analog whammy?

So, what if instead of modulating the pitch with an lfo, what if you made it controllable with an expression pedal? Is that possible? :idk:

Maybe a switch to disengage the lfo so that you can manually sweep the pitch? That's kinda what I was getting at.
