So far it hasn't convinced me to drop everything and preorder, but it sounds good.
It'll take me forever to remember all the little icons and their purpose (so I'll miss the screen). It's still intriguing, though, because Braids was what initially drew me to eurorack and after getting it I was somewhat disappointed by the module.

The chord mode sounds fucking great though. I had a feeling this is what Lightbath was teasing on instagram...

Edit: nevermind I'm a fan of this.

Plaits looks pretty amazing. Seems to distill the ideas of Braids into a better package.

How do you like the Rev2 so far? How are the effects?
I know this wasn't addressed to me but I've had one for a few months now and it's great. Solid construction, lots of sounds with all of the modulation, and so many nice features.
The effects aren't mind blowing but they are better than grabbing a pedal just for one patch. I mostly use the reverb, delay, and chorus. It's really nice being able to tempo sync the effects.

Sweet! Thanks! I wasn't expecting the most amazing effects. DSI stuff already sounds pretty good to me. But reasonable delay and reverb to assist with some space is nice.

I wanted to record more part based songs with a lot of cutting and pasting within my DAW and this seemed like an easy way to bring in a lot at once. Think that will be my solution for that type of recording and going to pick up a WMD Performance Mixer to swap out my QuBit Mixology and then i'll be good for both ways of recording.

This mixer will boost levels too, right? Something I wish more mixers did.

Excited to delve into what it can do.
Nice! I still don't fully understand mine. I mainly used it as a mixer when I first got it. But it can do all kinds of cool stuff. I've been slowly uncovering what it can do.

This dudes video is pretty helpful. If for some reason you haven't seen it yet.

Regarding Plaits..... "Gone are the screen, menu system, hidden settings, and the long list of somewhat redundant synthesis models."
Interesting! That's what I hated about the Tides. I'm too dumb to use it. So I didn't want to bother with anything else by them.

Agreed, part of my hesitation towards Braids was the in depth digital menu and a lot of folks talking about how they love a portion of the sounds and the rest were kind of meh. Also, the sheer amount of Braids that pop up used are enough to get me thinking it may not be for me. Excited for this one though, much more streamlined.

Update on my rig, BD909, SD909, Hats909, pico drums and Three Sisters are in and I am just making Homework beats. Safe to say my percussion section is pretty set. Really need to get down to getting some modules geared towards ambient and generative patches. I picked up a used ornament and crime, clouds (planning on installing parasites), and a rings. Will probably be slowing my roll once those arrive.

hurm. Plaits sounds AWESOME. but i think i'm going to wait to see what happens with the uRings. i don't wubble knobs on that much, just find the toanz i like then go, so it would be NIFTY to replace the uBraids with a Plait, grab a uRings in uBraddsies spot.

Yea I preordered as well. Read that you can use this as an LFO as well so this is basically a perfect replacement for my CEM3340 oscillator.

yeah. fuck it. ordered. they have me at the dedicated Modal CV, no Meta Mode.

the virtual LPG, the different drum modes, the side/separate outs over aux..... i actually wouldn't mind a screen, but this looks BALLER.

Annd pre-ordered as well. I had exactly enough money in PayPal to pay for this, so yeah, no self-control.

Also, after watching that video, this looks like everything I wanted out of Braids, but in a way better package. And it sounds amazing! Not sure if it will replace my Rings or something else in my planned rack
