also, this came out kinda neat -

the high melody is Pluck into Erbererer, the lower is Plaits main out and aux out, the drums are one track clean, one track through RML EFC, snare rushes are triggered by Yep being opened periodically by Voltage Blocks, hi hats are going though DLD.

I'm taking delivery of an Intellijel 4u case and don't know dick about 1u tile modules. I think I'll want an OUTPUT tile but after that, no clue what is the 1u hotness. What is the Intellijel 1u hotness?

I don't really know but I'd probably want to use it for all the utilities. Mixer, I/O, attenuation, mult, vcas, etc.

Quadratt and Noise Tools have been quite useful for me. It seems like a VCA and a clock divider will be coming and some point in the future but no clues as to when.

Ahhhh yes. Wanted one of these for a while and y'all pushed me over the edge. Well, that and the decision to start putting modules in my skiff :|

Not everybody lives in the US and international shipping costs can vary quite a bit.
I understand that but I am from the US so I mostly am looking at US sellers. Shipping within the US is like 6-12 bucks USPS priority tops for something like a pedal or module. So when someone says US shipping only, and insist on not including shipping in the price... thats pretty goofy.

This is on top of a good portion of eurorack used sales asking 5% lower than new prices. In comparison to ILF BST where it is typical to see quite low used prices.

But I will admit I am very biased against the eurorack scene which is why it took me a long time to even bother looking into modular synths in the first place.

Been thinking about long/wide rack options more lately. The z-rails take M4 screws in the ends to connect to the ears...so what I'm thinking now that there are black 126 HP z-rails out there, is that I will get a few sets and connect them horizontally to my 84 HP rails with some threaded/double ended m4 connectors. This would open up the choices of 210 and even 294 HP, in black. The rack itself has a couple of bracing bars that will most likely have to be replaced with long pieces of wood or something. The z-rails seem like they should be able to connect pretty seamlessly side by side with a snug connnection. I would be curious to see some racks that have tried this, or if anyone knows it to be a bad idea from experience, because I'm about ready to go ahead and try it anyway...

In terms of ultra-wide enclosures, I think I've found the two best options.

One is from Erica Synths and it's 126 hp to start with with a power supply installed. It's offset to one end which confuses me but I'm sure there's a way around that. If you wanted to, it looks like the wood ends are removable and the case could theoretically be combined, but only multiples of 126 hp.

The other, more reliable option IMO is the Frap Tools PLUS, which is a "modular modular case" in that they sell you the discreet components (wood ends, the enclosure, and all the connection screws). You can technically make this any size you want (a multiple of 42hp - the size of one enclosure). It's significantly less DIY and I've only heard good things about them. A lot of users on lines forum use it along with Zeus power from Tiptop or Silta power from Frap themselves and have only spoken highly of it. I think there's one user who has 2 rows of 126 hp using PLUS and it looks awesome. I'll try to find a pic of their setup.

The Frap is amazing for sure, and I am hoping to stay with the sleek black metal look, and avoid wood if possible. I have two trogotronic power supplies for a total of four busboards, so it seems like a pretty simple expansion if the z-rails work out. I guess the first step would be to find some connectors and try it on a couple sets of my current 84 hp rails, to see if it's feasible at greater lengths.

Looks like Folktek is putting out a Matter II with single patch point pins, a la synthi. Great news, I finally just sold my Matter/Conduit mostly because of the DuPont cables. Open source too. Neat. Also

Wow & Flutter on the way, got a deal I couldn’t pass up. Looks like a cool little delay.
