Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
FYI I just posted my Folktek Mescaline for sale on the BST sub-forum, $550 including worldwide shipping and extra Japanese snacks.
Give me monies so that I can buy a Teletype
. The Mescaline does sound awesome but I only have time and space to focus on one instrument and it's going to be the 7U...

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
lol. i am NOT listening to that Mylar vidja. i don't adore Moog, doesn't hold a special place in my hearts, do NOT want to get enamored with their rather expensive loots.
so, ADORING the Twins Man Twin SISTERS PLUS ONE so much, have a patch i want to record so not tearing it down yet.
talk to me about using her as an oscillator. do you tune centre to the root note you want? does the span go to different frequencies for the other 2? does it stay harmonically (western scale) relevant? or slides between notes?

Mylar saying “it’s probably the most exciting analog instrument to come out that I can remember” says quite a lot.Muse FTW wrote:God dammit Mylar making me want a DFAM. I seriously underestimated this thing holy shit does it sound good.

I liked all the other demo vids of the DFAM but this is ridiculous. It will probably be my next purchase.

There's a demo of the Eowave Quadrantic Swarm in that video (at about 11mn in).
Hopefully ships next month...

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
yeah. it sounds good, i would love to HAVE ONE. i get really annoyed at people not communicating delays. things happen, that's the nature of running a small business. but they got €35,000 in backing, tell people what's going on.
ESPECIALLY with the history of people from Kickstarter disappearing with no product delivered.
yeshhhhhhhh. get to put my noisey noise yarea back together today. at least enough to use speakers and computer, will work on where to put shelves and patchbay and stuff over this week and next.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
also, might actually grab this.
like others have said, instead of just copying something that a company is still selling, they took the 808, kept it analog, which Roland WON'T do with reissues, and added some tweaks. might be pretty cool.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Does anyone else use Bitwig as their DAW? I made the switch from Pro Tools after 15 years and this is meant for eurorack. The integration is fantastic and even the effects can be assigned virtual modules like LFOs and Envelope Followers to control parameters on basically anything. INSANE!

Every single time I hear a DFAM demo, I get insanely jealous that I don't have one. And this demo sounds amazing! I don't know when, but I'll definitely be buying one eventuallyDerelict78 wrote:Mylar saying “it’s probably the most exciting analog instrument to come out that I can remember” says quite a lot.Muse FTW wrote:God dammit Mylar making me want a DFAM. I still don't think a DFAM fits into my setup but goddamn that video was hot fire.MrNovember wrote:Every single time I hear a DFAM demo, I get insanely jealous that I don't have one. Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
Pretty sure I'm going to put together a mini portable setup that will be Field Kit FX, Field Kit, OM-1, DFAM, and a couple pedals. Only thing missing now is a DFAM.
