Re: Hiking
I just got back from Utah and Colorado. I hiked Hanging Lake, Arches National Park, and Canyonland National Park. I'll try to post pics this week. It was amazing.

Arches and Canyonland are absolutely beautiful, I went as a kid and haven't gotten back there since. Did you make it to Zion?

Re: Hiking
Resizing on my phone is a pain in the balls, but here is two pictures I took while doing the Daibutsu Hiking Trail in Kamakura, Japan. It was pretty damn beautiful for mid-September (even if the weather was still very Summer-like)

Re: Hiking
We did not. We were staying in Moab and we decided to see as much as we could of the parks that were closest to us.cherler wrote:Arches and Canyonland are absolutely beautiful, I went as a kid and haven't gotten back there since. Did you make it to Zion?

Did you have to cut down a tree for your new guitar?

Re: Hiking
Rocks of Sharon, about an hour hike from the trailhead in eastern Washington. You can hike to it from where I grew up but it's like 7 miles. We did it last summer the long way.

I'll leave this poem from Bill Watterson, that I have likely recited to myself on every exploratory journey I have taken since childhood...
"Explorers are we; Intrepid and bold
Out in the wild, amongst wonders untold
Equipped with our wits, a map, and a snack
We're searching for fun, and we're on the right track"
