Jwar, are you okay?!?!?!
Guys, he's running a small board. This is serious. Next thing you know he's not gonna talk about his boner anymore.
Should we open up a page where people can donate to help out?

Jwar's boner is officially on hiatus. Heard a rumor he is going modular.
Edit: Just kidding.

Looks great! I feel inspired to downsizeJesus Was a Robot wrote:Went out and grabbed a small board yesterday. It was money I did not want to spend and people on Craigslist never reply apparently, so I bought it new. Whatev.
It's WAY small compared to what I've had the last three years and limits the crap out of me.
I'm thinking of seeing if I can mount the comp underneath the board since I'll never use the buttons (always on) and then possibly putting my Ventris on to see if I want to keep it (since they finally released the app).
Anyway, put the velcro on the board wrong (LOL) but this is a temp thing to just see what I thought. What do you all think??

Downsizing is a pretty good exercise in finding out what you really want to use. Like you might think something is really rad, but then never find a use for it, then realize it is taking the spot of something else you would get more use or have more capabilities. Your chosen specific pedals have a wide variety of sounds. I think you are on to the idea. Don't be afraid to swap things out or even keep a revolving spot for the extras you have laying around.Jesus Was a Robot wrote:What do you all think??

Rad boards on this page, but seeing jwar with a small board confirms what I've said; 2018 is the year of zen.

Well, if everyone is going small then I am going ... PT-MegaGordo. Wait, no, I meant modular.

So, I'll be giving it a shot today finally. I've been super busy landlording and dealing with own home issues (AC went out...motherfucker).
I've forgotten a key element to this board (the Klein Bottle), so I have to see if I can integrate it intelligently without losing something else. I also am unsure if I'll be able to mount my comp underneath. I really hope so.
Anyway, I feel at peace with this decision. It's freeing. I keep looking at it and it make me smile instead of stress. So, I think I made a wise decision. I almost went even smaller, but I think this is as small as I'll go for now.
The Geiger Counter really can do a ton and having pre-sets helps a ton! I may get rid of the sole man for something like a Boss ES 5 down the road for easier access to those pre-sets, but we will see. I'm mainly going to be recording, so I may even end up not using a board period.
This summer will determine that.
I'm headed to my brothers studio this Saturday to work on some stuff. So, I'll hopefully have some recordings of the copper mic and other stuff to share soon.

Two little boards are good if the chemistry is right, switching one in front of the other from time to time.

True!
Always liked 2 boards vs one giant if the logistics allowed it.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
its been a while between posting pics...but I think, except for a couple of pedals, my whole board has changed over the last year. I got the final piece of the board a couple of weeks ago...a 3 in 1 modulation pedal from Dunwich, which has a phaser (I use it as a vibe), and harmonic term, and fixed phase.
