I'm a guitarist who loves to ROCKNROLL heading into the teaching profession. Monday was my first day of student teaching (after spending two years subbing and working at summer camps), and though I'm so excited to finally get into this vocation, I get scared sometimes about managing time to play my guitar. I don't want my precious chops to suffer

I'm about to be the busiest I have ever been in my life, and if my girlfriend and I end up getting married and having kids... well...
So, I ask you teachers: what is your experience with this? How have things changed for you? How did you embrace the change? We could apply this conundrum to any job, family life included, so I'm interested in hearing opinions from people who aren't teachers, too.
Thanks for reading,
E.
