My favorite line from Bojack Horseman popped into my mind, not quite the feel of the moment but somehow rhyming:

Actually, taken as a whole, it is entirely ILF appropriate / relevant / descriptive!

LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH.

Now let's make some weird t-shirts that nobody else understands and act antisocial while talking about gear.
Videodrome homage shirts with ilovefuzz in the tv static. Gotta have it. Now if only there was a graphic design guy around here... :poke:
I am in for one of these shirts. My old ILF shirt no longer fits me :(

Me? I'm just being more outwardly involved with my music scene, friends, going out. Also, I kind of know what I want when I need to change my set up? Thanks to ILF I know what to look for or find when I need something specific for a project. Thirdly, I kind of have this mindset of "who the fuck am I to say how to do something" so sometimes I'll write out a response on here and then just delete it.

A year ago I was planning on really kicking this place in the pants, add a couple mods to help out, see if we could reorganize the forum, open it up to new members by promoting and being more inclusive, etc, but life just got in the way. :idk: I'm the only admin really paying attention to this place it feels like and I don't really have the gusto to make it happen on my own when I already struggle with making my own art/music and maintaining a healthy work/social life. I still check in and try to post when I feel like I have something meaningful to add, but yeah I am never on here on the weekends because I spend all my time at my 9-5 on a computer.

I have a rant below which idk, it's just my raw thoughts on this forum, take it with a grain of salt, I have like twelve years of time here and it means as much to me as it does to some of you.

Rant:
NSFW: show
Some of y'all real crotchety about social media.

I honestly don't think adding new manufacturers would want to fuck with forums when Instagram, Twitter, and even facebook provide such fast interactions with fans and consumers. Instagram and Twitter are built for people who are trying to do shit. If you don't "get it" then you either aren't creating or just don't care if the world sees what you create. If you want manufacturers to come here, we would need to bolster our membership BIG TIME. But some of y'all pick fights with new members within their first ten posts so why the fuck would they want to stay here?

The strength of ILF in my opinion is the wealth of knowledge embedded here and that we don't give a fuck what you want to do with your gear or how you do it. I love that about ILF. It allowed me to develop a creative problem solving process when it came to making music where there was no one right or wrong solution to anything. We're all rad people who just wanna get people turned on to good gear and fun music.

It may not have been touched on in this thread, but there are some older members shitting on new indie music but guess who is using and buying pedals? Fucking indie musicians. Young bucks getting down at house shows and playing diy festivals and shit. You want this place to stay alive you're going to have to open your mind to new members and what they are into. Just like we used to accept our former selves stacking nine fuzz pedals to create the worst guitar and bass tones on the planet. That's why I banned a couple non-inclusive assholes a year or so ago.

People communicate outside of ILF. Texting, Discord, Whatsapp. And a fair amount of us have burnt out on gear, finding new gear mostly boring or have found the droids we were looking for. There are still some cool things to discuss, gear or otherwise. The archive of information on forums is what keeps this format relevant both now and in the future.

I'm not adding anything, but touching on what Ghostshit said

We need to allow new folks in.

We need to allow new folks in.

We need to allow new folks in.

We need to allow new folks in.

We can't chastise them for a lowball offer or trying to make money on a flip. I do it all the fucking time!

shortfuse seemed like a good dude. He was looking for a FORM2, which is not ok according to some members. Heaven forbid someone who's not "in" wants a hype pedal. I've been in contact with him, and you know what?, he makes some cool stuff.

I have been in contact with him too. hahahaha. He's a good guy I agree.

Yea, people need to fuck off in BST. Sorry guys. There is no such thing as bro hook ups and most of you don't even return the favor, so I'm not sure why there's this weird shit about the BST. I've been saying it for years here and I always get ignored or talked to like I'm some type of scumbag. Because making money on something you bought is bad right? That's stupidest, illogical bullshit ever. Plus it's no ones business. EVER.

If you feel like an ILF member got shafted on a price because someone is flipping it for more, maybe next time adjust your pricing. :) Just a thought.

Now, friend/homie hook ups happen sometimes under the scenes. I get those every once and awhile and those are always appreciated. I always pass the savings along on stuff like that. But to just expect it, that's silly nonsense.

I like when we have new members. I was actually starting to like Billy Cardigan for his resistance to my constant onslaught. Made me respect him a bit.

Anyways, I love you guys and I hate you also. haha
