I am quite tempted with the idea of 3 HDMI screens in a 2U rack unit, as my current computer screen sits atop a sturdy 4U desktop rack which currently has nothing in it. There are also touchscreen monitors in 4 to 6U, and plain old HDTVs. My new video card has 4 outputs, so 3 little screens and one big main one is one way I could go with it now.
This also makes me want to build a video synth rig right underneath it:
I went down that rabbit hole in late Dec early Jan. It was NEVER an option for me budget wise. What a journey though!

Decided to keep the EDP again, this is loop of thought after all. It really is unparalleled in function. Looking to possibly get a MIDI foot controller and fully unlock more possibilities instantly. Forget the rack format too, want to figure out a way to mount it in it's own pedalboard setup.
Has anyone heard of an "Image modulated delay" rack unit made by a company called york? I've had this unit for at least 20 years and it's probably older than that. It needs some cleaning and some joints re-soldered but it is an insanely cool unit for it's age but I haven't been able to find any info on it online.

No idea (other than the horn company), but do you have any pics? Any other identifying texts (model/serial #) or country of manufacture? Gut shots?

No gutshots, but I will take some pics this evening and post.
decided to look into the g-majors finally AAAND they seem pretty boring, no routing stuff really and pretty standard fx. "made for guitarists". I guess for like 100 bucks its worth it but i wanted insane delays

The Lexicon MPX-1 has been pretty tempting for extensive routing stuff, and it has a bunch of internal controllers like LFOs, ADRs, S/H, and simple A/B glide, all of which can be set to activate upon reaching a certain input threshold. And I'm pretty sure you can assign it to any effect's parameters. It even has a couple algos from the Vortex. The delays are basic, but are true stereo so you can have totally different delay times and feedbacks and whatnot on your left and right channels.
The MPX-1 delays are basic until you get into what you can do with them. The feedback insert routing and all of the deep control and LFO stuff can make them pretty great. A bunch of pedals now give you algorithms of this sort, but having all the controls and being able to choose the effects means you have a broader tool kit than almost all of the pedals. Not bad for $150.

Shit that's insane. I've been keeping an eye out for lexicon stuff already but most of the stuff i see are reverbs. I saw an mpx 500 is it alot different from the 1?

Bummer! I had my hopes up cause it had a fancy screen. Sometimes the preset boxes seem cool but mostly when they are like 50 buck ones. Like I saw a zoom one i think ive heard is supposed to be good? It wasnt the NIN Broken half rack one, I once didnt get one only to find out it was THAT sound
