I still want a Switch tho.
Are there any games on it that you’re excited about? It’s one of my favorite systems because of all the weird indy games you can play on it. It’s also super nice being able to switch between playing it on the tv and playing it like it’s a fancy pants gameboy.
Mostly Breath of the Wild which my friends won't stop raving about, and the upcoming Animal Crossing game. It's been so many years since I paid attention to video games that I'm not familiar with any weird indy stuff, so I'd be happy to hear recommendations you might have!

Been trying to scoop a cheap canoe off of CL/FB to take my kids out on the nearby lake. I got an inflatable raft last year which is a lot cheaper, but the time and energy to inflate the thing takes it way out of you before you get on the water, and then the thing barely moves when you row it. So i'd like something nicer but can't afford to actually pay, so hoping something cheap falls in my lap. Also need a new monitor.
Good deals: Monkey Boy, julius_deane, oldangelmidnight, K2000 (x2), kbithecrowing, Casavettes, leaves turn, psychedelicrelic, nevada, alexsga, sa1126, Invisible Man, foot, solewheelin', hbombgraphics, bronzetalon, Aquietcabin1978, bass_econo, christafarai; (on TalkBass) jazzyitalian, MicG, bufert57, marineman227, karter2000; (on TGP) leray1, Electroman, bigEbeer; (on DIYstompboxes) LucifersTrip, lethargytartare; (on HC) StratsRule07, lfrz93, Firebrand, caeman, bluesthug

My constant music GAS transitioned seamlessly into bicycle GAS. Now I'm running a lot, biking a lot as my mode of transportation, and playing guitar a little. Somehow the focus on running is much less GAS inducing than running or guitar. Probably because a new reverb pedal actually does make you sound better, and new tires can actually make your bike ride nicer, but nothing will make me a better runner except running.

That being said I do want a GPS watch for my runs, but I get by just using my phone.

Yeah that's the nice thing about running. I had a GPS for a few years then it broke and I've gone back to a simple stopwatch I've had for 15 years. Doesn't make me any worse at running

My girlfriend bought me a Savage Industries One bag for my birthday and I love it. Maybe not so much a fancy bag, but a functional one and I'm a bit of an Adam Savage fanboy.

My non-music gas lately gas been wallets and watches. Finally got tired of my old wallet and ordered a Hitch and Timber Surveyor. It came in yesterday and I love it! So much skinnier than I expected; I don't even notice it in my pocket. Also, ordered a few Timex XL Standard watches (one for me and one for each of my groomsmen) and a couple of NATO straps to fix up a couple old watches of mine. I've got a few inexpensive watches, but I'm thinking it's about time to save up for a nice one (and by that I mean like a $300 - $500 watch, which is still rather inexpensive considering some of the ridiculous watches out there)

A guy on my team at work has a £4k watch. We make fun of him. I don't mention how much I spend on music gear

I could never buy a watch that expensive for two reasons: 1) I'd be way too afraid to break or scratch or damage it in some way, and 2) I could buy so much gear with that money. It's going to be hard to even justify spending $300 - $500 on a watch when I could buy a nice delay pedal instead. To be honest, I'll probably just buy a nice delay pedal instead.

I've never tried any of their other products but I bought a wallet from this place years ago (might have even been a KS campaign)... That wallet lasted 5+ years and the only reason I stopped using it was my MIL got me a new wallet and I felt like I had to switch over to be polite... Their product seems to last for a long time. If you like the look, might be worth thinking about.

i have used one of the absolute bog standard adidas messengers for nearly a decade and the faux-leather is just split and knackered lol. i think the higher up bags with plush straps would be better on my back too. i have to carry around a quantity of medical stuff all the time otherwise i'd just be one of those phone+wallet+keys=done guys.
