Nah, I’ll always love fuzz. Klons may be good, but I’ll always love my Wolf Computer

How fuzzy would 2 klons stacked sound?
Zvex does that with the SHO I believe.

I mean, 3 Distortion+ in a row makes a great fuzz.

In my mind it will make me sound exactly like the Jesus Lizard.

I'm basing this off playing a BD-2 once in 1997.

You know what it probably would. I borrowed one for a gig once and it sounded really fun and slightly harsh into a SS amp. Two stacked would probably get to Jesus Lizard town.

Had a BD-2 for awhile and really liked it. Never occurred to me to stack two.

But for JL, I know it is kind of a cliche/douche thing to say, many many apologies up front  , but more than anyone I can think of, his sound is the way he plays, to my ears. Give him a guitar (preferably with a bigsby) and an overdrive and I propose he would still sound pretty much the same, if he so chose.

Then again, maybe it's just the bigsby

Yes indeed, sorry! My favorite guitar I have ever had is my Denison EGC (does not make me sound like him  ). Been waiting on a second one for a really long time (almost seven years) and not to derail this thread but a quick side note: EGC contacted me about three months ago that it would be ready the following week and I still don't have it

Anyway yes, was talking Duane Denison.

Another thing about the BD-2: Bought mine because of True Widow. Read somewhere he uses one into two Echorecs, if I recall correctly. Didn't sound like him either

Never tried a Klon, is it worth trying? Not that I could fit one on my board........

Totally situational. :idk:

Under the "right" circumstances, they may certainly do specific things to your tone. Usually, an almost always on pedal for me.

Do you use it kind of like an input buffer at the front of the chain?

No, the buffer's only on if the pedal isn't engaged.

Since I keep it on pretty much all the time, the buffer doesn't really come into play for me.

I use it as an end-of-chain boost/tone shaper. Dead last in the chain.

It's entirely amp, pedal and guitar dependent though. That's what I think anyway. :idk:
