Just made my first gear purchase of the pandemic. Couldn't resist Sweetwater's current deeply-discounted Quilter Overdrive 200 plus free footswitch offer. The power tubes on my Peavey Classic 20MH seem to be intermittently crapping out, so perfect timing on this deal.

Was able to score a Part Garden and ElectroFoods PigPile yesterday. They should be fun to run into my Surveyor.

Bit late to the game, but I scored this locally today.
Super happy, seems to cop all the sounds I used the Hexe Revolver and CT5 for, whilst somehow feeling more fun to tweak.
I have a real passion for the Tensor. I LOVE that little box.

Re: What is in the post? GAS makes me more creative right?
My sudden desire for a Mercury 7 saw me offer my Afterneath V3 for sale this morning (on a UK forum) and it was snapped up within an hour.
The s/h M7 on Reverb had disappeared by the time the funds had been sent, but I found a shop with one for sale for only slightly more, so hopefully I'll have it here by Wednesday (along with the Pizzacrusher, which might be here tomorrow).
A lot of the splurging has been driven by one or two stressful things going on with both work and family, but hopefully the calming down of one should ease the stress on the other, so I'll have 1) more time to play, which should hopefully lead to 2) me calming down with the pedal buying*
*no chance, I know

Re: What is in the post? GAS makes me more creative right?
I should listen to my own advice, but....don't fill stress holes with gear...it'll only create more holes when you don't have the time to learn/play w the gear. GAS is a weird thing...whilst I LOVE the hunt for the things that tickle my fancy, I also enjoy knowing that the hunt is over and now I can take my time to dive in, even though the list of exploration is as vast as discovering that the world is not flat. I've recently been able to slow things down by deciding that I need to fund new purchases with the sale of things of value from hobbies of yesterday. There is a nice amount of excitement in having funny money to play with in your paypal after raising funds from selling things. I have such little self control though that I have a hard time not spending on smaller things as I raise funds for the larger purchases. I'm targeting an ASM Hydrasynth at the moment but have already sabotaged myself twice with lesser items and need to build the budget more with additional sales. I guess whatever it takes to keep me from watching rising numbers and petty politics playing with lives as my loved ones ease back on being safe cause if things are opening up, it must be safe, right???!?!?!!Paul_C wrote:My sudden desire for a Mercury 7 saw me offer my Afterneath V3 for sale this morning (on a UK forum) and it was snapped up within an hour.

I know what you mean, I'm sure that the whole world being on fire has contributed to a "I might as well enjoy myself while I can" approach too.
The Mercury 7 has been delayed as they only had one left, and that one has been kicked about the shop as a demo model. They reckon more will be arriving tomorrow, so hopefully I won't be waiting too long.
The Pizzacrusher is a great little pedal (arrived this morning) which I'm going to have a lot of fun with. Ottobit Jr. followed by another bitcrusher should make for some interesting noises

Don't feel bad, I bought an ASM Hydrasynth today. I was actually saving for one and one was listed reasonably on ebay and I made an offer I could afford and it was accepted, saved myself a few hundred bucks (now where to re-direct that savingsPaul_C wrote:cosmicevan wrote:

I received this two weeks ago in faulty condition. Today I finally managed to make it work again!

More info about it can be found in the Seppuku FX thread.
