Interrrrreeessting. Had been thinking of buying one due to the format finally looking practical, but was scared off by all the disappointed reviews. If the update truly fixes things, I might have to get back in the market!

The triggering on the new firmware is way better for use with fuzz. The volume fix is nice as well. This update should remove most people's problems with it, I think.

Ok, updated and played with it for a couple hours. It is definitely much improved. Still have some issues with Glitch Blocks but otherwise, the triggering is much better. I had a loop going into it and tried all the different effects, every one of them triggered which was hardly the case before.

I still would like to have more volume though, there is still a bit of a drop when 100% wet on quite of few of the effects. It is definitely not now "much louder than the dry input signal" like they are claiming. Not even close to being as loud.

One thing to note if you are updating: Unless you have a Microsoft account that is tied directly to your computer you are using to update, do not even attempt to use the sysex program they recommend. It won't install. Use Midi-Ox instead.

So I'm going to be keeping it for awhile longer and see how it goes. Definitely some cool sounds in there, especially when tied by midi clock to drums.

i have one hitting today and reading through this thread made me sad like someone had taken my anticipatory glee, hollowed out a section, and peed 2020 Flavored Reality Juice into it.

but this page and update talk stirs some 2021 Can't Be AS Bad Right Koolaid into the mix.

bought it direct from Hologram, so i would assume the newest firmware is installed?

Let us know. I've been thinking I'd like to try again since the firmware update.

I sold mine. At first after the update, it seemed to respond well but pretty quickly, it went back to being kind of random in terms of when it would respond to the input and also the volume drop is just massive and the gain they added in the update did not make up for it. Just a really really frustrating pedal.

I do hope your experience, and everyone else's, is different from mine. Good luck!

I hope the new update is solid. I also bit the bullet and ordered one (should come near the end of the month).

finally got my yarea cleaned up enough and cables run to play with McMicroCEE.

it's a SubHarmonicon melody with a bit crushed kick on the one.

i... i LIKE it.

havena sat down and played bass through it, or anything live, that would make me notice Not Retriggering Envelope Type Things, but i adore it so far.

Slinging a necro spell at this thread and resurrecting it because I’m a total sucker and ordered the limited black colour way they released yesterday. So, a couple of years on, who is still using the microcosm? Have firmware updates been timely and meaningful?
