For the plugin crowd, this is an insane deal (good for 48 hours)--
https://www.soundtoys.com/product/effect-rack/
You can run up to 6 effects simultaneously, which works much better inside the Rack host, instead of running them in series as separate effects. Paying $99 for Crystallizer & Primal Tap would be well worth it---but you also get a phaser/flanger, gritty dirt devices, simple EQ, bonus delays, filter, and more.

The Workhorse on Reverb appears to have had work done to it.spacelordmother wrote:https://reverb.com/item/33274072-devi-e ... rse-silver
The board's been screwed on from the top which the originals didn't have (they used to fall off from memory? Could be why someone screwed it in).
One of the pots also looks replaced as I believe all the premium SoZo workhorses used Alpha pots (the Mouser pot being unoriginal).
I also spoke to the shop 5 months ago and this is what they had to say to my inquiry:
'I am selling this for a client who has a massive collection of unique gear and honestly know nothing about it. He did nothing to it.'

lewl I remember the work horse. I can only imagine the board falling out because it was common issue with a lot of pedals that she built ( boards floating around in pedals covered in tape). Its probably been repaired at some point, I mean most Devi Ever pedals have.doralin wrote:The Workhorse on Reverb appears to have had work done to it.spacelordmother wrote:https://reverb.com/item/33274072-devi-e ... rse-silver

Re: The headsup sweet shit on ebay thread....
the cheapest jacks and the boards wrapped in electrical tape. the pots are no different than anything else. at least they have metal shafts. the smaller pedals don't have a lot of problems with boards moving around because she slams them in between the pot and the side of the box. the problem was the horrible cracked solder joints + boards pulling on the joints. I have seen many builders wrap boards in a cardboard sleeve or foam or something. it really depends on the details. those screws that were added are cheap home depot screws and they are already stripped. F in the chat for this "repair".

The build standard for pedals from one-person shops nowadays is dramatically more professional than it was 10 years ago. Back then people would have questioned how boutique or handmade your pedal was if you had board-mounted pots

The screws in the Workhorses were fucked from the get go. She used power tools on those and they were impossible to remove, & the heads got stripped or busted off from what I remember.
100%. There are still people today...Dandolin wrote:So truewhoismarykelly wrote:The build standard for pedals from one-person shops nowadays is dramatically more professional than it was 10 years ago. Ok so it may or may not be sweet shit but I found this while searching and it may be the least visually appealing pedal of all time. It's like a bland geocities website in pedal form.

you know a manager must approve every street buy? so they actually paid someone $40 for this thinking they could sell it for $80. then they tagged it at $129The Eristic wrote:Ok so it may or may not be sweet shit but I found this while searching and it may be the least visually appealing pedal of all time.
