I don't know what they make these guitar magazines out of but they look the same today as they did when I was 8 years old. One of these beers has amarillo hops in it and I think that's my favorite. Twisted Metal, here I come.

I feel like Lenin should be holding a rickenbaker. GP not into the visual gags I guess. Battle Arena Toshinden is a decent port on the PS mini.oldangelmidnight wrote:

Yay!
Having acquired them and tried them out I thought they were both pretty cool and different enough to make sending both worthwhile
What did you make of the mystery pedal (my self-created Happy Little Accident) ?
If you lower the volume on guitar a touch it gives you more control of the stuttering effect as notes or chords tail off.
The FAT control doesn't do a huge amount, but replacing it with a resistor/cap seems to stop the effect working properly so I left it in

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Back online after a holiday hiatus. As some folks have mentioned, the box was received.
So goroth Was My Satan, which was great. And terrifying. And what a great & terrifying gift did I receive.

You will notice: Loads of Swedish Candy! A book on how to be less sucky at metal bass!
(but secretly so far it's been a real good read)
Some kick ass holiday coffee!
A Bitchin' Tote from the brand that had me curled up in a ball dying last year (in a good way)
A super nice poem
And a Gigahearts pedal. Let's get back to that in a second.
Because he also put together a massive droney-doom epic featuring loads of ILFers!

Because the fuck?!
https://nopesmoker.bandcamp.com/releases
Obviously this bowled me over. Not only because it was great, but because he sent an epic two-part email detailing how it came together that made me really stoked. Especially during the lockdown year that was 2020, it's been kind of insane how much my closest friends really are some people I met on the internet talking about fuzz pedals.
and this record was a real nice testament to that.
So, on to the eponymous pedal:

This thing is fucking insane. It can be a Valnut. It can be an RM-1N style gnarsbar dirty verb. It can be a Rat/Muff with variable blend between the two. I haven't missed having a big amp to blast a total gnar wall of death nearly as much as when I unpackaged this thing and realised what was up.
So: Reverb>Rat (with the LM chip because obviously) | Big Cheese in parallel, with each element on or off as toggled. Plus some other rad stuff under the hood (dip switches and such). I'll make some clips soon but I have been taking some super necessary recharge time which has also meant no music.
Ian from Gigahearts is a class builder, we all know this (if you don't know this, you are missing out), even though he's kind of low-key compared to his full on days a few years ago, but he's entirely knocked it out of the park on this one. So Versatile. So useful. So intuitive.
And goroth is obviously a good friend and a great human being, but he's an absolutely tremendous Satan. Thanks dude

Glad you like the pedal dude. It took a lot of discussion and then even more planning and building.
Hopefully the manual is useful to you?? Theres certainly a LOT of great sounds in there and the paralyzer was a really neat way to really open up the potential.
Thanks to the community here for allowing me to participate in the giftworthiness of two ILFSS persons this year.
Perhaps next year Ill be back with the fourth in the series of "The Gift of Fuzz"....
for those curious this is the block diagram of how this pedal works

Heres the internals for the curios

Re: SANTEES AND SATANS, ACTIVATE! ILF SECRET SATAN 2020
I am spending my days playing like hell with Ian's big cheese clone and I strongly support D.o.s statements about Gigahearts being an amazing builder.
That being said, the Nope Smoker is the coolest thing I saw lately. All those switches and combinations..i think I could spend days just with it and nothing else (maybe a guitar and an amp).
