uh oh, pup fight!

Those pickups look cool tho. Are they meant to be mounted too the body without a rout like teisco pickups? the dimensions seem almost like that

i believe the Hershey pickups are surface mount; the speed bump pickups are usually set into a pickguard, the best example of which is the Jimmy Reed Kay model/reissue. Note the brackets and height adjustment screws on the speed bumps.

i haven't heard the speed bumps, but the Hersheys are absolutely killer. there'a a guy in the UK who makes them in a variety of form factors, and also makes a Tele bridge PU which is essentially the Cooder Supro lap steel pickup without the big metal superstructure. i'm planning a Tele around these pickups and a mahogany neck. it should be an uber-Tele and very little like a Tele simultaneously. which is what i want...i love the form factor of Teles, but have never gotten on with stock-ish Tele pickups.

I'd love to make one but I don't really have much to compare it with (save for a Twin MkII from Shift Line as well). I hope to be recording stuff with it in the coming months though, so maybe I could record a few audio examples with my setup :thumb:

Just wanted to chime in and say I have recently sacrificed my wallet for one of these pups and don’t regret it for a second. What a great device- that modulation section is so cool, setting it really slow and on square wave so it jumps back and forth between two delay time settings every few seconds = the stuff of legend.

That little Affirm icon on reverb listings is my gom jabbar...it’s gonna kill me one day when I click buy now on a clusterflux.

Sounds sick. Love the idea of a fender with a mahogany neck

I remember hearing about these a while ago, then radio silence for many moons. Looks like it may be a thing?

Yesplease, not much to compare to other ampsim, but we want to know how it reacts to pedals, particularly when pushed by loud ones. :snax:

I find the combo of fragile looking box and stomp switch a bit weird. But they look pretty :idk:

Yeah I don't think these are really intended for pedalboard use. More of a tabletop/studio only tool. I'm a little tempted to back, but I've flipped all the Folktek gear I've ever owner, including the euro version of these pedals

They look great, but after having backed the mescaline Kickstarter I'd rather just pick one up used later unless they start going for silly money. It's fv-1,by the looks of it. Neat!
