And while not a "pedal", I've done similar things WITH pedals in the past.
I use a Pultec EQP clone as a channel strip/master instrument EQ for EVERYTHING unless I'm field recording where AC and weight come into equation.

I use a bit quest as an octave down to do dirty bass parts. Most of the bass is coming through an ac50. I use an echo dream with the fuzz cranked and modulation as my main dirt into a vibrolux. Then I stack the mae maybe into that while leaning over to add in echo or mangled modulation. Also using a dweller for this extreme resonance, delayed and phased wash.
The cooper arcades I have is mostly a mangled synth and the context reverb I have is set to an extreme tremolo and granular delay. An ehx 720 looper to loop stuff in reverse and to sent bass lines to the ac50. The only other person in my band sends a drum machine into a looper and two keyboard amps, one for the drum machine and one for synth.

this isnt a mind blower but one of the stock DD-500 patches is a darn fine reverb. I actually never use delay but I just need looper and sometimes reverb. And then if you were so inclined, I think you could possibly recreate any digital reverb with "pattern" delay it has like 20(?) taps

I have a digdugdiy Waves Crashing reverb w/ an insert loop -- with the clean blend knob + short predelay, I'm using it to "double track" into other effects. It also has an input gain knob to overload the reverb circuit, so you can add distortion to get like, a crunchy phaser sound sitting right behind your clean signal.
Sounds great w/ my MAYBE!? or NO! in the insert, too, and then the decay knob running into it becomes a nice way to tweak the texture/sustain.
I've got a Purple Rain (bitcrush comp), which has been a bit hard to find uses for, but when I put it in the Crashing loop,

tried to record a clip briefly last night, but it wasn't sounding right. I'll do a couple after I'm done w/ family and face-stuffing this Thanksgiving week

NOt paticularly original but lately ive been using the bitquest in filter mode after the distortion to get mid scooped sounds and it works pretty damn good.Gets close to HM2 territory. Useful if you don't need more gain but just tone shaping.

here's a rough demo -- starts w/ a naked synth pattern, fades in the digdugdiy reverb, adds a phaser (lil Guyatone PS-3), then distortion (Golden Guillotine)coldbrightsunlight wrote:this sounds interesting. Clips?

I bought a Data Corrupter and sold it because I liked the square wave best and didn’t really love the bleeeeeeeew bleeeeeeeeweew bleeeeeeeep wheeeeeeeeze bleeeeeeeew sounds from the oscillator. I regretted it, bought another one and while I love the square wave I’m more into the other goofy stuff it does. The square wave could be the default distortion for me at the moment.

Eventide timefactor can do a pretty sick reverb too in the tap mode. Bitcrushes ok too and the filter mode is juicy too. Shame UG's demos are down, his timefactor one is great. Made me re-buy itchromandre wrote:this isnt a mind blower but one of the stock DD-500 patches is a darn fine reverb. I actually never use delay but I just need looper and sometimes reverb. Did some thinking, here's a quick list:
- Strymon Timeline as an octaver (using ICE mode with no delay time)
- Strymon Timeline as a lofi pedal (using lofi mode with no delay time)
- KOMA DB101 as a super weird drive (high input, low output)
- OBNE Dark Star as modulation (delay time knob at zero)

Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

That does remind me I sometimes used to use my dmm with the mix totally clean and the preamp up for a boost
