I used to be extra dumb and all the New York Dolls gave me the creeps except Johnny Thunders so I never understood why they are well regarded and then I educated myself and sadly when he was dying I saw some stuff on Sylvain Sylvain and he seemed like such a good guy and great guitar lover and writer.
It was one of the lessons I've learned about first impressions not carrying as much weight as I thought and musicians are gonna have dumb hats and if they like to look at themselves in a mirror it doesn't make them posers 100%
And he definitely has a cool name.

Another wrong first impression. I thought because of the name they were cheesy wurst and I lumped them into Sonic Youth making fun of Bros. Turns out years later I'm wowed they sound a lot like sonic youth.
