Steroid O.D. actually wouldn't be a bad choice at all. It is a great pedal. Too bad he discontinued it years ago. The limiter and eq switches change it a lot. It isn't very high gain or even very loud.

We (Dead End FX) like LGAL as well.
If anyone has a rarity they would like us to trace and share, drop me a PM.

Just buy the Sakura on reverb and sell us PCBs for like $15 a pop. You get your money back....some day

Re: Lastgasp Art Laboratories
Somehow that used pricing on a boost clarifies a premise for me: inflated secondary market prices on certain blues lawyer overdrives created an opening for fair prices for some small builder wonder boxes to get priced high enough to keep those builders in business. $2500 for something maybe marginally better than a Tube Screamer if that’s your thing vs. Chase Bliss, Red Panda, DRolo, Cooper FX, etc.
Interestingly, given the pricing on the boost that cues this thought, LAL has also been a beneficiary, able to charge fair prices on unique pedals.

I'd be interested in a Misty Cave where the LFO can be shut off.

The sakura boost is one of those mega low production early middle crazy pedal period unobtainium pedals.. I think the what it is and how the art looks vs most everything else the builder has ever made plays into that... Do I want one? yes.. would I pay more than $200.00 for a booster of any kind? no..
Still with LAL... I've sold off all my crazy fuzz pedals from the last 15 years except one custom fuzz hugger and my LAL stuff.. I just feel that with a Super Oscillo Fuzz 88, Tone Axe and a Green Monster I have all the ground I would ever need covered

Re: Lastgasp Art Laboratories
Deadend FX are cool!
I got the Switchblade pcb from them, to build the 88 Super-Oscillo-Fuzz, and I like it so much that I've decided to build a second one for my partner in noise Attila (whom together we have this noise-industrial project called Mulo Muto), since soon it's his birthday!
It would be cool to have Deadend do more LAL reverse engineering (especially the old discontinued stuff like 86, 87, Green Monster and Ripplet).
Btw there is a pcb/kit for the Rattle Crow available from FuzzDog in the UK.
https://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/product/rattlecrow
Anyhow the other day I meet again with Attila after more than a year (because of the pandemic) and asked him lend me for 5 minutes a pedal I sold him some years ago: the Gomorrah!
Damn... I knew I shouldn't have done it... Hiro has still some in stock, sooooo I decided to get a new one!
With drumbeats it's a blast!!!
Btw... if anybody is interested I've dediced to part ways from my Cyber Psychic. Drop me a PM in case!

Deadend has at least 3-4 LAL pedals, but none of the old ones you mentioned, IIRC.gila_crisis wrote:Deadend FX are cool!

I should be able to dig out the (turret) layout for the 86, as I attended Hirofumis "let's build a crazy pedal" workshop when he was performing at the LUFF in 2017. We built the 86, but without EXP input.
PM me if that layout (and BOM) interests you.

Re: Lastgasp Art Laboratories
Great Fuzzonaut! I just sent you a PM!
I used to have not the 86, but the 87 back then: it was a cool oscillo-fuzz!
Super thick and huge and with tons of output volume!
