I'm going to venture it's a DIY box - he was mentioning Max/MSP in an interview I found, so perhaps it's something along those lines?

The orientation of the knobs & switches along with the LCD screen is not as common with commercial builds (sizing & space matters, not as much with DIY), which is really why I say that, though.

Based on the cut in the video, maybe it's a custom distortion of some kind? He talks frequently about acoustic resonance, so perhaps it's a very specific program he wrote & installed in that box?

Very hard to tell from that angle but it kind of looks like a Mod Devices Dwarf to me?

ahh, you're right.

the layout is very similar to the pi-Stomp, so I would guess that its a Raspberry Pi-based DIY unit.
it's possible to run Max and Puredata patches as effects in virtual pedalboard chains on those (as well as the MOD Dwarf).

cool - really makes sense.

i bought an Electrosmith Daisy Petal on a whim a while back because they were dangling it for real cheap, and because they made words like "pure data max/msp zrrbbl gloamng krrfluthrr" but it has been a big disappointment so far with virtually no development and i am also a disappointment who hasn't bothered to learn any programming to make that happen myself - maybe i'll look at a better-supported format like the mod dwarf someday....

like does it implement Pd poorly or something? I saw some demo of the eurorack version and it seemed like you just shoved Pd patches into it. Maybe im naiive?
