i've never given much thought to the one man band, but i enjoyed the samples here
bon voyage and knees up mother brown
i'm not necessarily a fan, but i was looking @ swiss things based on your other thread about blinkenlights and i found this vid where sarah lipstate/noveller is checking out the swiss things and i thought she might fit into the one-(wo)man band continuum?
From what I gather I could kind of accomplish some of the pedals functions with a Source Audio EQ2 pedal. I reckon the clean mix into the loops would be a bit difficult as I would need to record or loop the original in and then tweak the EQ2 for the effected signals. Pedal overlap in functionality in my opinion should be a topic in and of itself.
Thanks again for sharing, I will take a look at the Klein Bottle next.
Hey manymanyhaha I check out the Helen Gillet link. . jeepers I am amazed by that energy placed into a human skin. A real treasure trove of experience in 3d. How did you come across her in the beginning? She sure does have a web presence and it was refreshing to view her google return in images vs. the link you sent. For me seeing someone barefoot onstage with no lights, wind buzz and in a crowd makes for grand viewing. I must watch again and make notes, so much going on and to learn from.
Helen Gillet is very cool! Hadn't heard of her. Jo Quail is also a one woman cello looper artist (though most recently I saw her perform with an orchestra which was very cool) so have a look at her for some of the best looping I've ever seen.

She is really well known in New Orleans, seen her play many times since maybe about 2008. Originally from Belgium, she is another in a long line of musical transplants who fall in love with the city and stay though she is increasingly becoming known elsewhere and touring. I think I pissed her off once because after a few beverages I told her I thought she should be bigger than Joanna Newsom and that kind of irritated her. Understandably so. But I still think she should be, imvho.
Last time I saw her was about a month ago. She was one of about 15-20 musician playing a Mars Williams piece called Devil's Whistle and it was probably one of the best live pieces I think I've ever seen. First off, it was at the https://musicboxvillage.com/, which I can recommend that if anyone is ever in New Orleans and you have an opportunity to see a show there to do so. Not only is it a unique venue, it just SOUNDS so good in there. And usually the folks they get to play there are your more creative musical types who take advantage of the toys. But second, it was just a very creative piece, kind of stitched together with all these amazing musicians

Is he supposed to be playing all of that by himself? Oh my.....

Thanks for that Dandolin. Yea I have checked out that very video on my way to purchasing the Swiss Things (ST) pedal. It is so choice to see some quality coming out of Ohio that one can invest in :0) The ST was my first EQD pedal. I have a real hard time creating a board without it and the puzzles it figures out but then opens up has helped me on my journey. Sarah looks to be a bright spark and I am sure is gentle on the land. Thanks again Dandolin. . . . um what are you a fan of? You said "continuum" haha. That reminds me of Alien Dreamtime. . . . that album changed my life cause Ohio can be a real armpit.
Chankgeez! Wait a minute - this Luie Luie fellow. . . I could not find any live bits about him. . . ? How did you come across him?
I will say homeboy has a Roland 707 and I am down with that. . . . toting all those acoustic instruments. EQD, we need a "show us your junk" from Luie Luie.
