Guitars I've Owned: Stats About Strats

Post by chuckjaywalk »

I've been thinking a lot about the guitars I have owned and my preferences. Here's what I figured out.

5 Fenders
3 Squiers
3 Teisco Del Rays
2 Gretsches
1 Gibson
1 Peavey
1 Reverend
5 Various Off-Brand 60's-80's

6 Strats
3 Teles
1 Jaguar
1 Flying Vee
1 Semi-Hollow
1 Les Paul
Lots of weirdos

Judging from experience, I'm a boring old Strat guy and I don't like humbuckers.

1 Greco MIJ Strat
1 Fender Jaguar
1 Fender Jazzmaster
1 70s Hagstrom Viking
1 60s Vox Ultrasonic
1 80s Warwick Nobby Meidel
1 Phantomguitarworks Phantom
1 Borisov soviet guitar
1 Gretsch Electromatic
1 80s Ibanez artist

I should note that my favorites overall are the Reverend Slingshot Jr. and Fender Stratocaster Professional II. The Slingshot Jr. has the bonuses of weighing 6.5 lbs and having a really strong P-90. The Professional II is a near perfect Strat but the switch for Neck/Bridge or Neck/Middle/Bridge gives it an even wider range than my other Strats.
