Oh, I hate clones, but the Mangled Walkman looks cool! I saw the Memory Loss as well, but you can order new (pimped up) ones with the sound of the horizontal models at http://www.rhysi.com for a fraction of that price.
Rhys has recently changed the design of his website and it seems like he's completely going back to his Seppuku FX brand. He told me that he liked the design of the engraved RHYS I pedals, but it is time-comsuming and more expensive that way.

Re: Seppuku FX
That ML on Reverb is from 2017. My guess is that it's not exactly the same circuit/tone as the early horizontal ones, like the one UC had. But maybe I'm wrong, were they supposed to be the exact same thing?Pepe wrote:Oh, I hate clones, but the Mangled Walkman looks cool! Re: Seppuku FX
You're right! The "only true sound" is that of the horizontal model with the blue squares. And that's how the new ML222 sounds. During a collaboration with Ugly Casanova Rhys put a lot of time into achieving that sound again, plus he improved the whole circuit.

Re: Seppuku FX
According to Rhys a new pedal will be available next week:
https://rhysi.com/?product=a-o-d
"a O D is an analog lowpass gate with an exponential envelope follower.
Dedicated attack, offset, decay controls.
The VCA mode has a natural filter curve emulating the effect of sound disapering into the distance or being muted with a soft blanket.
The Resonant mode is a very wide range low pass filter effect which falls in the desired frequencies with the offset control.
VC Exp of lowpass gate/filter with standard 1/4′ stereo input."

Re: Seppuku FX
Just went to the new site and checked out all the goodies- how cool is it that Seppuku is back? I’m late to this train but I can’t wait to try out some of his pedals, they look fantastic.

That's what Rhys told me in an e-mail:
aOD is the label for the controls as well - attack, offset, decay.

Re: Seppuku FX

New mind warp is up for sale and weak as I am, I ordered one.
I wonder what the two extra knobs are for. Guess I'll find out.

Re: Seppuku FX
It's not very impressive anymore. I've got one broken mem loss and two that work, and that's it.
But I used to own a lot of them though...

This was probably peak, but I had some others before and after.
The ones I really regret selling are the B-filtre/Dream Filter and the Fuzz Overloader. Great pedals.
