I'm necrobumping the fuck out of this thread.

Get ready for a long-ass post. NSFW doesn't seem to work, so you'll get all the pics... :excellent:

We found out our property was much bigger (mostly wider) than we knew, so we decided to expand our front door area+backyard and freshen up the back of the house, plus I finally got around to (pretty much) finishing up my shred shed/workshop area. It's been a long 6ish months of work in between work life and family life.

Where the floor boards are was the old entrance

Boarded up

Made a little hideaway nook for bikes and other crap between our entrance area and the upcoming extra backyard area.
Image

Added a gate and made the path up to our house wider (another gate going into the back of the house area will be installed at some point).
Image

Now for the backyard area. The ground slants down, so it required a lot more work expanding in this direction

Framed

All boarding

Closing it off

Removed the wall between the backyard and the new area and took a well deserved sitting down of the ass

Then I built a sandbox for the kiddo

It was time to deal with the overgrown area at the back of the house. Cut down shit, dig ditches for the witches that burn etc, remove weeds, add new soil, plant some bushies and roll out some grass. Also cleaned up the area behind the shed to install a trampoline next summer for the sandbox kid.

Finally and currently, I've been working on my shred shed/workshop. It's not much, but it is mine. Still got some framing to do, plus installing some more shelves and cabinets for parts and whatnot, but it is fully isolated and has power+lights+heat, so it's definitely usable already. :!!!:

I just installed a seven (originally eight, but one was broken) bulb vanity light bar on the ceiling of my laboratory to assist in exposure for recording demos. I gained four F stops! I'd take a picture, but it's too bright (and ugly).

Instead, here's my solution for running audio & MIDI wire across the room in a no trip manner:

KORG EX-800 and DW-8000! What are the preset synth and the one to the right? Is that a Kawai 100F?

On the upper shelf? At left is a Roland SH-1000 and a Crumar Performer. Those are non-functional beasts awaiting revival.

I guess I should post something in the synth thread..
