Everytime I listen to the downstairs radio which doesn't get great reception (I have probably mentioned this alreddy), the degradation of the signal always brightens certain frequencies into ring mod terrytorry (i.e. the melody guitar on Nirvana's "heart shaped box", fer instance), but I have been enjoying this (shudder) Ben Gibbard feature on a Minus 5 Xmas song that I herd jerryesterday, which I attribute to it also having the recording frequencies of the 12-string close 2gether like that piano clipp above.
Longth liveth the great degradation signals 2025-?
whoever has ownership wants to maximize profits. maybe someone will donate it down the road, though that hasn’t happened with most of the historic guitars that have been sold in recent years. that’s life under end-stage capitalism.

That one riche guyTM who has that bigtime collection probably wheel pick up sommodis fer shure, but I think in the case of death & possessions, it's better 2 b libbing than dedd (or at least cover yer debts, have a will w/ direct stipulations, don't die, etc.).
one of my projects is to assemble an exhaustive list of all my guitars, equipment, effects, etc. for use when i die and Becky, who knows nothing about instruments at all, will be stuck liquidating my apartment full of shite. i'm 68 now (yay?) so it could be any minute now.

i have a friend older than me in California whose partner died and left so many guitars that they were still turning up after a couple of searches. she got with some store owner up there, but it was ridiculous. homey had FOUR PEDAL STEELS. any chance one of those might fall off of the truck. Cath?

I was surprised to see he still had an original Maestro on a (recent?) touring board. I would've expected him to replace it with a Black Cat or something several years ago. I couldn't imagine touring nightly with pedals approaching the half-century mark. Then again, he may have had 15 Maestros between his suitcase and his rehearsal space.

I once asked Guillaume Fairfield why he didn't send Jeff Beck a Randy's Revenge. He told me he sent him a Barbershop when they first came out and never heard back from Beck's people. So, that ended that.

I've met a few people from the Nashville circuit, and some of those guys are flooded with so much gear, and they're B-tier session guys. A Billboard player would never get around to responding to individual builders. Someone would need a PA who only oversees stuff like that.
Skimming through the YT stream I saw a Klon sell for 11,000 GBP ($15K+ USD). I think his Linn Drum sold for just under 7K GBP. Hard to follow this stream, though, without continuous pics or timestamps.
