Post by letsgocoyote »

Or even like no-knob pedals with minimal components. Step on it for some weird glitchyness or weird audio artifacts, ala OK or LP.

Dammit man, I want these.

hear hear!

i think for supreme cuteness you could design little things so it's like a modular system....
maybe a silly notion, but i would definitely subscribe.

Awesome idea.

Coincidentally, I was thinking about doing the same thing a few weeks ago.

Not that I make pedals or anything. But I was thinking about it.

What if there was one basic enclosure, and instead of "pedal of the month" it was "circuit of the month" and the new circuit could just be clipped into the generic enclosure. Less to build and ship, that way.
:joy: things to do, things to re-do :omg:

Very cool idea!!

Circuit of the month, limited runs. Heck, name each one a month. October Artifact, November Artifact...

BTW, I know of a little site called FuzzHugger.com that would totally be on board with making this happen. :D

Yeah,
it would be cool to have a Master pedal with 4 knobs that can be connected ( via a stereo jack or another connection ... ) to 4 little Slave pedals.
you put the signal in the Master, it will be sent to the 4 four Slaves, processed and sent back to the master and then to the amp.
The 4 knobs of the master will control the parameters of the slaves altoghter, just like the joystick of the Manglers.
It would be great because it would be a modular system, everyone would have the same Master Circuit but with 10 or more Slaves to change... if you make limited monthly ediions of the Slaves, people will go crazy to buy them, The Slaves will become ultra cool collector pieces! ;)
my two cents

Yeah, would love a subscription - I mailed Devi about a similar idea a while back, I think the response was it would be loads of extra work to administer the subscription plan meaning that new designs would have to be pushed back. If it was a choice between a subscription and new designs I would choose the latter :)

Also a subscription would require planning and scheduling . The creative mind can't be constrained by time. :bob:

what if it was a pedal that took fuzz cartridges like a nintendo hahaha

ok but seriously, it would be cool.

just liek the old one knob artifacts. but only volume knob. it would probably be just as easy as using the current circuit board and jumpering the texture knob to a preset.

oh shooties

dude i wanna do this next year maybe. problem is thnking up enough circuits to make it happen. they all need to be simple. right now im thinking

1. clean boost
2. dirty boost
3. treble boost
4. tubey fuzz
5. facey fuzz
6. bass fuzz
7. glitch fuzz
8. mini amp (lm386 ic)
9. passive ring mod
10. tone control
11. pocket synth
12. feedback loop

that'd be a years worth of pedals. they could be kinda cheap or whatever. but if anyne has any ideas for cool pedulz that would be simple to build....
but if anyone else has any id

Hell, you could potentially organize such a thing with a BUNCH of different builders - why just one or two? It's a pretty awesome idea.
