Well not the only one.
I'm also into classical, most Latin genres, blues and any thing under the rock and roll blanket..

Wrong forum for the long walks on the beach, etc.
Does any one really like long walks?

Back on subject, I don't have either the Shiva or the Shoe Gazer, so my posting is really pointless.

YOu and me both. I always htink "okay, this time I'll order parts for myself." and then something goes wrong, or you know, I need to go to sleep every other day or so.

BUt as far as what to choose, I think it really depends on what you want to do with it, they're pretty different from eachother. If I had a shiva, I would use it mostly on a bassy rhythm setting, with a sort of bubbling sub octave texture set up with the starve section. Then I would try to to remember a good oscillating setting to dial in between songs. I use the Shoe Gazer as a LEAD MACHINE. Like I said in my video, I don't think I've ever played anything with more gain, so you can get hella sustain. The single mode (TP) has a great ripped up tone, but not a huge amount of low end. It really shines with both switches on

Aen

that shoegazer vid was really cool

one question here..

have you tried feeding synth mangler (SM) into the TP side of shoegazer?

does it sound the same?

I originally wanted to get a white spider to go with my synth mangler, so I can do SM->TP and get the sheogazer sound.

is that possible?

Aterciopelados? Superlitio? Los Fabulosos Cadillacs?

I think that's the first time I've ever seen Soda Stereo mentioned on a message board. :thumb:

And I like jazz too. (ha, that smiley could not have been more appropriate)
