The F*ck Overdrive (assistance requested)

I've been trying to get a handle on this whole "Fuck" overdrive phenomena but too many threads, too much to read to get the tiger by its tail. I've listened to demos but honestly I doubt they were able to convey much of the character of this shadowy beast.

Can someone lay out the conceptual underpinnings of this thing so that I don't have to dig through threads for a couple of hours? Also.....how much is this thing gonna cost....and when will it be available and where?

the 'fuck' bit is a dynamically modulated something that fucks the signal, …louder the signal the more it gets fucked depending on how the threshold knob is set;
other than that is meant to be a regular overdrive with a wide range of gain (including clean boost)

this is all correct.

in the simplest terms...
it's an overdrive/fuzz that can also get all fucked up/broken cable/gated compression sounding controlled by the input dynamics.
i think the videos pretty accurately capture what it can do. i mean, sure it can do more, but that all depends on what's before/after it and i only have so many pedals to try that out with. is there something specific that you want me to show/highlight? i'll be making more demos as soon as things get silkscreened.

they're $200 and will be available direct as well as through fuzzhugger, prymaxe vintage and crush the button as soon as they are screen-printed (1-2 weeks-ish).

What does the momentary switch do? o.o

turns on/off the "fuck" part of the circuit. the toggle switch decides the function of the momentary switch.
either always blown amp sound and momentary changes to straight overdrive OR
always straight overdrive and the momentary switch engages the busted sound.

like having 2 pedals in 1!

hmm perhaps the overdrive may be similar (i've never heard the p&c so i don't really know...) but other than that i'd say they're completely dissimilar!

this may be controversial
but its somewhat toobscreamy ? cept without a blanket ish
i do need an overdrive/boost just to brighten up my jazzmaster in the middle to make it even more punchy and not as dry
to a normal kinda overdrive

The manual on the ss/bs site says something about a light/heavy switch. The ones that we're seeing in the wild don't seem to have that switch. Does it exist?
