I'm about to make a video for the DIY section, but I just realized I'm too timid to talk on camera... even for a DIY tutorial thing.

SO SOMEONE EITHER BRING ME SOME BOOZE OR GIVE ME A PEP TALK.

Man I had a post written out but I closed the window by accident.

Anyway, uhh...think of it like speaking to an answering machine. Yeah, it'll probably sound a little awkward. But NOBODY is gonna be like "lol, did you hear that fucking nerd in the demo vid hahahaha". The only reason this will ever happen is if you are this guy.

You could try not recording but still going through the demo, saying everything aloud.

Whatever, the biggest thing is that nobody is going to give a shit what you sound like unless you're Johnny DeMarco. And then they will make fun of you without hesitation.

It might be better if you don't listen to the video. Everybody hates the sound of their own voice. It sounds different in your own head because of vibrations or something smart liek that.

Just turn on the camera, then just talk and talk for however long it takes for you to forget about it; like, maybe tell it a story or buy it a drink. Plus, if you mess up, just start over, or cut that part out; there's always editing.

Have a friend come over and stand behind the camera. Then just talk to him/her. It can be weird just talking to a camera if you aren't used to it.
