I'm about to make a video for the DIY section, but I just realized I'm too timid to talk on camera... even for a DIY tutorial thing.

write out what you want to say. it can be word-for-word, a few key phrases, or an outline. practice running through the sequence a few times so you have a good feel for what comes next. and forget about the camera, particularly about looking at the camera; if your face isn't going to be in the video, you don't have to face the camera. put a microphone somewhere off-camera, or use an omnidirectional mic...then you can face the stuff you're actually doing without distraction. and don't worry if you sound like a dork...everybody that does demos sounds like a dork. just don't try to compete with Gearmandude's shoes, and you'll be OK.
