I do maintain, however, that Salvia doesnt offer anything that other drugs cant offer minus the anxiety and insanity. And I did take initial offense at the idea that it's because I'm somehow not "open to new experiences", I think Dubkitty may have gotten unecessarily heated but I understand why he was offended.

I have no bad blood for you, I honestly didn't mean to sound condescending when I said what I said. The "pet drug" comment may have been over that line. But I stand by my basic point, which is that almost all drugs are good for something, and have something unique about them that some people may like, and others may not. Including salvia. And sorry, neither pot nor shrooms will reproduce what salvia can do.

Also, even though I like craft beer, I don't tell the people that are drinking budweiser or rolling rock that drinking it is stupid or pointless.

As for what dubkitty said, I'm not going to address it further.

Don't get all the negativity in here, but I'll just say that salvia can be a wonderful and beautiful experience and can also be terribly overwhelming. Be relaxed if/when you take it and make sure you have someone you trust fully there with you. Salvia can take you to a completely different plane of existence, and you have to be comfortable with that fact and not panic, and it will be over before you know it. I understand what people say about it not having the kind of effect as other psychedelics, but salvia is certainly beautiful in the way that a painting or a song can be beautiful, but also how some people won't like the same bands you like. Just remember folks. no two drugs are the same, and no two experiences between two different people on any drugs are the same, and everyone has different opinions. Oh, and be safe.

Salvia is fun as hell like the first 3 times you do it. It's a gigglefest. I like to do it occasionally.

I guarantee you if you smoked a bowl of salvia just now y'all wouldn't be fighting and you'll probably be more like this

About the substances: don't buy half the shit you're being told about the substances. There's 50% valuable truth in there that can be learned from others, and there's important background information that can be learned even from the Authorities and the Internet and the books on the subject. However, there's always the personal factor involved so it's depending on Yourself a lot. :thumb:

...so don't do drugs that doesn't do it for You, just... don't. Goes for ALL the substances a human person possibly can get high with.

And, as a friendly reminder: take care of your health, be safe, think for Yourself and stay out of troubles way. And don't be gullible - amongst the amiable shady figures, there's always one or two nasty persons around who take advantage of a the naíve persons in a way or another.

FWIW,...I've experimented with all manner of drugs,...yes I like pot the best, and other hallucinogenics following...I wasn't trying to be a negative nancy (not that I feel that BC was singling me out),...It seemed like ILF's UNN/A was soliciting opinions and I gave mine.

My biggest issue with Salvia is; you aren't in control of yourself and it's too intense, which is probably a good thing that it only lasts a few minutes. The same argument can be made with alcohol and other drugs,...but I think that avoiding that lack of control comes down to experience and body chemistry. That said; the few times I've tried Salvia,...I didn't feel like I was in control,...and I'm not comfortable with that. Even on the strongest acid and shrooms I was still grounded in a little bit of reality.

If I want to hallucinate I want to get the full mind opening; mind altering; enlightening experience and it takes longer then a few minutes to obtain that. To me Salvia is the equivalent of huffing gasoline or doing whipits. It's a cheap and quick thrill.

YMMV

I should say that I don't think the health affects of Salvia is nearly as bad as huffing or whipits,...but I haven't done any research soooooo,....

Salvia CAN be a really useful tool for self exploration. Unlike some other drugs, you have to be in the right frame of mind in order to get anything meaningful out of it. It is NOT a party drug in any way. Using it as if it were weed could get you into trouble, because it's just not the same kind of drug. It can be *way* more intense than weed or shrooms in terms of radically changing your perception of reality. I'd actually put it much closer to DMT than anything else. It can literally shift reality into a bizarre alternate universe. So do not fuck around with it like it is something harmless like weed. It can seriously bend your mind all around, and if you aren't centered, you might get a nasty trip.

It's only a stupid teenager drug when stupid teenagers use it inappropriately. And I can assure you it won't be long until the DEA schedules it. Although I'm not clear as to why becoming illegal would somehow give it more credit as a "real" drug with some people. Everything is legal until a group of scared old white guys in Washington decides otherwise.

salvia is fun - super intense, and even though the actual high is only a few minutes it feels like forever.

coming down for me is usually a crap shoot - i'm either fine or i feel like i have a fever for a half an hour

If they make it illegal, then teenagers would have more access to it therefore it's no longer a kids drug since only adults can buy it as it is now.

Let's all just shove grain alcohol-soaked tampons into our rectums and have a party!!! :animal:

What?

I was agreeing with your point by stating the opposing view in a nonsensically convoluted way. Irony for the win!!! Sometimes the Internet just takes all the fun out of being a sarcastic know-it-all.

Once, I started smoking very small amounts of salvia every here and there just for the hell of it. Not sure i did anything. At least not enough to remember.
