I've been a mod too, on a board crowded with nasty bastards with nasty opinions. Like, fans of the band :lol:

And I disagree. The politics/ philosophy/ religion /civil disobedience/ abortion/euthanasia/ drugs/ church burnings topics are the best. They are the ones that people really would like to discuss. And sure, they can be the hard ones. But there's no point to just chat about totally indifferent matters that everybody can silently and bored nod to? Right? Nobody wants that, right? :)

The problem is that the people are people and can't cope with each other the most of the time. And because they touch sensitive issues people make it personal, instead of just argumenting and having different opinions. Am I right?
