what is this guitar?

Post by dronemachine »

Yeah...I know that this could/should be in the music section, but what I want to know is what guitar is Sune Rose Wagner (the guy) playing?
This is kinda embarrassing, because I'm really into jags and jazzmasters...hmm...a big fan,but I just can't find any info on this guitar-the jazzmaster pups/bass VI body kinda black guitar with block inlays, that is?

Any help from someone that's more of a geek than me?

Please? :poke:

I think I heard something about it,it's like some artist signature guitar or something :?:

Thats a Ventures model. Japanese, no rhythm circuit, and ugly as sin if you ask me....

Thanks,man! :thumb:

I'm not really into matching headstock, and I kinda hate gold hardware anyways.

Sounds cool though, but it's really a jazzmaster at it's heart,so no surprises there.

Of course,sans the rhythm circuit.

It looks almost like a 6-string version of the Electric 12.

Boo for no rhythm circuit. :grumpy:

Gotta love the Raveonettes. What was that fuzz he was using? Sounds good. Just a fuzz factory though?

From what I know,he uses two older rats, boss mega distortion, and dunlop hendrix octave fuzz...AFTER THREE REVERB PEDALS!! :omg:

Sharin also has two rats, and vexter FF,again placed after reverb pedals.I really dig the reverb before fuzz setup. :thumb:

I'm currently using my RRR near the end of my chain (turbo rat>rocket>rotovibe>radical red reverberator>tap-a-whirl) but the next pedals I'm buying are the boost r.v.b. to put in first in the chain, because of the strong buffer before the tbd, which passes the ghost signal without a good buffer before it,unfortunately, and fender volume/tone to put after the rotovibe....oh yeah, need a true bypass tuner,so I guess I'll go for the new hardwire/digitech.If you have a noisy guitar parts that get wishy-washy sound, all you need is a good and smart bass player to keep the groove in the place.Simple as that, look at some of the raveonettes gigs on you tube,or go back to the classics, psychocandy for instance(not that the JAMC ever had a smart bassist,it was always the guys hungry for some fame, and it was always up to the Reid bros in the end). So,it's gonna be one reverb unit before and one after the fuzz camp and modulation!Kick-ass freak out if you ask me!
