Wah Search
Hey , I'm kinda on a search for a new wah, I been getting back into them, but right now I only have an og Crybaby, which I've always thought sounded crazy thin. I'm looking for something that handle a ton of fuzz (obviously) and has a pretty wide range with a thicker, roaring kind of "wah." Any recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks.

Re: Wah Search
Hmm I'm coming from the bass world so..
On the high end.
The Source Audio Hot Hand or Their Soundblox Tri-mod wah.
Fantastic range of wah sounds including reverse etc. can be set for very subtle sounds or wah in every note. Frees up your feet for dancing,
Can be used with an expression pedal if you have to be attached to your feet.
Oh can be used as an expression also.
On the down side, It's expensive, slightly larger than one of Devi's double pedals (side ways) and I haven't been able to set a cocked setting.
The soundblox is smaller.

Obviously I'm in love with mine.
Musicians Sound Design Earthquake bass wah or Silvermachine guitar wah.

Ok I found mine on the bay and got it for very little $$ otherwise I'd just have gas for one.
Does exactly what the manufacturer says it will.
has a nice range of sounds, and will sit in the cocked mode without shifting, despite a heavy drummer.
On the down side, it's freaking expensive, very heavy and takes up a lot of real estate.
I had a Morley Distortion wah, which wasn't bad, but could never get it tightened enough to stay cocked and work smoothly
I would love to check out Jacques Trinity wah. It looks intriguing.

Over on Talkbass, JGR did a wah shoot out.

It's bass orientated so may not be all that usefull to you.

Re: Wah Search
I've just dealt with Wilson, came at him with some impossible requests for a drop-in (previously ignored by two other makers) and he's already found me a solution. Top guy, make him a forum Devi!!!

Re: Wah Search
I think the first George lynch wah is real cool. I dont really like his style or playing but tis a good pedal.
Budda and Vox are affordable alt's. Recently ive been into really affordable good stuff so it may seem crazy but the Dano is not bad for the price....right now I am gonna buy a George Lynch one or a Budda....but if I start gigging again ill pick up a Dano or some other cheap one....cant risk good stuff for some drunks in a bar....

Honestly I dont care if you suck at playing just have amazing tone to make up for it.
