The Guitar Fetish Telemaster doesn't seem to be available anymore. When I finally decided I'd pull the trigger on it, it was no more.

That's cool. Last time I looked, they didn't have that orange one anymore. Supposedly it's transparent.

Yep, they still have them... The orange was my 2nd choice, but I got the ash on sale. Here's where mine is at. I've got a Fender Nashville 6 saddle bridge otw, prob going to put a Duncan Quarter Pounder bridge and remove the pickguard and go with a P-90 or Jazzmaster neck pickup...

Hey, first post. I probably have more offsets than I should (4 Jazzmasters, 1 Jaguar, 2 Talmans) but this is the main guitar I use in my current band.

Nice looking guitar. What's the bridge pickup like?

Thanks. The bridge pickup is a SD PRails. The humbucker & P90 sound nice & beefy, but the rail single coil is just OK (I kind of wish it was a bit janglier). I've heard that some people like to flip them in the bridge (so the rail is closer to the bridge), so I may try that.

Those things look cool, I have been drooling on them for a while. How does it play? I have a Warmoth fatback tele neck that needs a new home, wonder if it would drop right in?
Aw crap, the Capri Orange and the black ones are marked down to $199. HNNNNNNG

I didn't love the neck that it came with. It looked nice, but way too much fret buzz + lousy action. Prob could have adjusted some or most of it out, but I wanted to try the Squier maple neck I had. The Strat neck I put on it fit right in really well. Now it plays really nice and it's become my favorite guitar. Still needs one final go round tho - a neck pickup for sure (their overwound Tele Fatbody is a great pickup that I'll put in my Tele if I get a Duncan for it, the neck mini-hum not so much.), new guts, and then the final setup.
Your Tele neck should drop right in with a little sanding on the edges of the heel... Teles = more square heel, Strat = more rounded.

Whoa that is pretty amazing. Must get one. Seems like I'll be customizing the hells outta it. Really wanna put a p-90 in the neck. Does it twang?

So, I've been trying to look online... but... Why, all of a sudden, do the CIJ Fenders now say "Made In Japan" on them? I thought it was Crafted?
My thought was maybe they use Made In Japan for Exports? and Crafted for Fender Japan?

MIJ and CIJ are the same thing as far as I know. I don't know exactly what year (late 90s?) it changed, but before that period they were "Made in Japan" and now they're "Crafted in Japan". There was probably some kinda overlap for a while as well.
Hmm...maybe they're changing it back or somethin'?
