Re: The Show Us Your Offset Thread
I hate to post anything in the thread after that Jazzmaster, but I finally got a G&L (I've wanted one foreeeeeeeeeeeeever.) I always thought I'd get an ASAT first, but this little beauty popped up on the local craigslist last week and I couldn't resist. Plays like a dream and barks like a big dawg.

SC2 is perfect as is, pickguard detracts from the Legoland simplicity.

Hadn't thought about it really. I sorta like the weirdly awkward nakedness of it. And it's not quite dogged enough to where I wouldn't feel bad about putting some more holes in it. I'll probably leave it as is. It feels and sounds good as hell like it is.

It's like a les paul jr, a tele, and a mustang had babies though some sort of 3 parent genetic test tube engineering. Which is supposedly how they are suppose to sound?

Yeah those are sexy as hell for sure! And yeah, I'd say that's a pretty accurate description of the sound. The bridge PU is overwound too, so it's got plenty of extra spank to it.

Speaking of SC-2's, my "new" SC-2. Would love to whip up a pickguard for it at some point.

I totally bit your style on this one homie! Saw you post this in the Show Us Your Gits thread! Love that vintage white..... These newer ones without that crescent surround on the controls would be much easier to cut a pickguard for it seems.

i absolutely love those G&L SC1 and 2's. i think those and the F100 were the best G&L's made, errr they were the best for me anyway...
i'm really digging the pickguard on it too.
when did they reissue those? ....... or is it an older reissue?

SC2 was reissued a couple years back, I want one but just haven't seen a price I'm willing to pay because I'm cheap.

Mine is an original 80's one. Haven't found or checked the serial number yet, but the headstock and the crescent control panel were unique to the originals I do believe.

Walk in, mutter loudly that you *are* "the" Jazz-fucking-master. Demand your deal on the guitar.
