advice on an amp
I have a chance to buy a sovtek mig 100 from a guy in town, just curious what people's opinions were on it!

Devi had a Mig 50 and said it never broke up, infinite clean headroom. Thats my kind of amp.

I dunno if you're going infinite headroom then a good SS is almost your best bet since a lot of the "warmth" from running a pedal through a tube amp comes from it using a slight amount of it's own gain. I could be wrong though. Plus if an SS sounds very good clean, it'll take pedals well too - if it sounds "warm" clean that's not going to change with a pedal., that's the thing.
