I could just start buying hi-end recording gear to run my guitar through. I could drop 3 G's for a tube compressor. Then pull the eq section out of a vintage API console for an EQ pedal... a Neve preamp for my overdrive. Then get a 2 inch tape machine for my tape delay and flanging needs, and buy a cave for my reverb. I'll have the most legit rig ever!

Spend that money on a new hobby. Take up wood carving, or DIY some effects.

Disaster Area Amps MIDI Controller for that Timeline/Space combo. It's a friggin' godsend for the Timeline, opens up the looper's functionality and makes scrolling through presets much more convenient. And it's small, which is key.

Personally, I've been looking into video synthesis for my next gear accumulating expedition. I've always liked the idea of being able to influence both what I hear and see using one instrument.

Either that or keep building the gear fund.

I've been doing this tooooo. I have a cushy work-study job, and I should probably just leave my money in my savings account and let it earn its paltry 0.1% interest, but then I'm like... I have money, and yeah I'm supposed to save it and use it to pay for college, but it earns basically no interest in the bank and my loans are interest-free until I'm done with college, so why not spend it on things that I can enjoy and sell again later for a small loss? And then I end up with way more stuff than I actually use, and now I'm running out of things I want to try.
