Or vintage pocket watches.

I can't decide if it would be awesome or lame to have a pocket watch.

Disaster Area Amps MIDI Controller for that Timeline/Space combo. It's a friggin' godsend for the Timeline, opens up the looper's functionality and makes scrolling through presets much more convenient. And it's small, which is key. :thumb:

I've thought about this one a lot actually. I've also talked to Dan @T1M about one of those Eventide switches he makes, but I'd really like one pedal to use with my Timeline/Space/Pitchfactor. Does the Disaster controller come programmed to work with Eventide pedals? I'm sure you could set it up to work with them, but MIDI is so confusing to me. I was looking at the DMC-6. At that point I might as well look into those MIDI controller rack unit thingies... which I'm sure I've brought up before. But that's Chapter 2 (maybe 3) of my Epic Rig Adventure, and I don't know if I want to start that yet. But I agree with you, I do need something to work with those crazy pedals I have on my board.

I'm interested in this one, but isn't he coming out with a pimped out version in the future? I'd probably wait for that. I have a Whetstone that I love, so I don't know how much more awesome the Infanem would be. Expression input would be nice.

Love Ryan's stuff! It's on my list, but I'm going to wait for my buddy to finish up some tweaks with the tremolo pedal he's working on. He's not a gearhead, but he came up with some interesting ideas that I haven't seen on other trems. If it's modernage worthy, I might just build one for myself, if not I'll buy the Dr Sci (or Goatkeeper (or both)) sooner.

This is probably the smartest idea. I'm still a sad panda over missing out on the Kirbychorus.

And, before you even say anything, you always, ALWAYS need a bigger amp.

This would be a waste of money for me right now. :( I live in an apartment building, and I can't even turn up my 5 watt amp past noon without feeling like my neighbors are going bust down my door and kick my ass. Once we buy a house this will shoot to the top of the list though.

I too was reluctant and confused by MIDI programming plus no interest in a giant, insanely-programmed controller. As for the DMC stuff, Matt will send it to you programmed however you like, plug 'n play. He also puts out firmware updates as needed which can be downloaded easily. These updates can change MIDI commands/functions and keep up with any software updates that may come out via Strymon, Eventide, Line 6, etc.

Beyond general looping, I wanted access to the reverse and 1/2 speed functions plus the ability to loop without switching modes in the Timeline. It's totally on the fly with MIDI, not so much without. I'm not a fan of the 2-button stomp Strymon uses for bank scrolling either so the MIDI helps there too, dramatically.

Not sure what options Disaster Area has for Eventide but that 3-button switch you mentioned from T1M is great and inexpensive. I use it for my space with no issues or complaints and again, it's ready to go without any programming on your end. You do have the ability to change functions but the default setup works for me.

Very true, The Faye's Her will be the pimped out version. Expression is pretty much what roped me in honestly. Had a Whetstone before that I liked quite a bit.

Dude I'm telling you that you need a Markbass Supersynth. :P lol JK

On the real though. I wish I had this problem. Lately I've been broke as a joke. Have little no extra money for anything. In fact I'm barely making it paycheck to paycheck. Sucks bros. I envy those of you who still live at home or just have the extra cash for fun stuff. Enjoy it while you can! FUCK!!!!!!!!!! lol

I still live at home/going to college, and I'm totally trying to accumulate gear now, so that when I can move out I'll be all set.

Of course, I'm sure I'll still want a bunch of shit.

Mmmm Supersynth! Haha, I love you man!

Also on the reals... I too tend to get a little jealous at times when you pedalphiles can buy pretty much anything you want. Not all the time, but there are those times where I'm like "man, it would be nice to try out this, or buy that uber limited that." I either have to sell some stuff I kinda want to keep around, or save for a while, when I want to buy new guitar snax. I think that's the main reason for me feeling the way I do and starting this thread... if I had the disposable income I could easily buy 30 pedals before going to bed tonight that I'd love to try and own, but since happening upon large junks of cash is rare I make it a point to be a bit picky with what I allow myself to purchase. I'm kind of to the point where I have most of the pedals I've been dreaming about, so the "what I would buy if I only had the money" list is slowly turning to "I wonder how that effect is?" list. Kind of going from "needs" to "wants". Just as fun, but not as important.
[/rambling]

.........so I may have spent my whole gear fund. :erm:

If it fits with your whole thang then why not... You could be all steampunky or put it on a wallet chain and be all RAWK... or wait [looks at phone] people still use watches...?
