Sunn Beta Bass

Post by Toonster »

I saw a Sunn Beta Bass combo for sale over here, I guess there are enough topics about it, but as ILF likes to talk about Sunn I thought: Let's open a topic!

It's the combo with one speaker by the way..

What's it worth? Consider I live in the Netherland so a few Euro's more wouldn't be a problem, cause everything is way more expensive over here

And is it good!?

I now play Mesa Bass 400+ and I am not going to sell it, looking for something to use at rehearsals and that kind of stuff!

BUY IT! If it is good enough for the King it is good enough for me.

I initially misread that and came in here all "NOOOOOOOOO DON'T SELL THE 400+!!!!!!"

If you're looking for a rehearsal amp, you could do an awful lot worse than the Sunn. I'm not sure I'd go with the combo, though, unless you guys rehearse fairly quietly.
good deals are here.

Is the combo a low wattage version? Or is it just the speaker?

Well I'm assuming you already have a rig, and assuming the rig is more than a 1x15. So, unless you're going to leave it at rehearsals or something (like rehearsing quietly enough for a 1x15 combo to work), I'd scout out the head instead.

Of course, I just noticed that you're in the Netherlands, which means finding a Sunn Beta Bass head is probably a little bit harder than it is over here.

On our craigslist kind of site there are like 2 or maybe 3 Sunn amps to be bought, it is really sad..

But what is the difference between the head and combo version? Because I see I can hook up this one to some cabs also..
