I believe the first one or two production years are heavy because the bodies were maple. But after that they switched to alder. My alder '75 is lighter than my P-bass.

When I walk to class, I pass a car with an Eccotone sticker on Fry street. /shinfo

Re: Gibson Grabber
Sounds like the ideal bass for me, big body fits my posture.
I have no problem with heavy cause people say my 78 Pbass is heavy as shit, but I never had a problem with it.
And the sound seems like my thing, only thing I am curious about is the neck, I don't really have big hands
But I guess it would not be as bad as with my 5 string^^
@Haki, yes it's that exact one, it's a long travel but I will buy it, unless it's broken to pieces, I like some wounds here and there

Worth going there to try out, think that's the guy trying to sell a SLO as well.

The neck is definitely on the beefy side...and the action seems to be happiest on the medium high side (3mm @ the 12th)....but mileage may vary from bass to bass.

My action is super low, but it needs a set-up, and it buzzes on like the 10th fret. But, I can't ever hear that buzz through my amp, so, bah.

I bought it, neck isn't too wide for me, feels nice! And I think the action is low enough for me, don't know about the sound yet, the guy only had a small Marshall transistor guitar combo at home.. But I'm already happy

Congrats!!

Excellent that it came with the OG case. Trying to find an aftermarket case to fit the Grabber/Ripper is not easy.
Mind if I ask what the price tag was?

It was €750,- which is a fair price over here in the Netherlands I think..

Definitely a fair price considering how rarely they show up. Congrats on the score!
