Ive played one, really high quality stuff too! Fantastic neck/fretwork. I will admit though that there was just *something* about it that i disliked enough to sway me from what a good guitar it was physically. Ive often thought that perhaps it was the logo or the stupid painting that seemed like it was made specifically for old guys trying to cash in on the current (or current as of 2003) "indie" aesthetic. I guess thats just how i felt though. I mean it was a great guitar, definitely fcs quality and if this is the type of guitar you want i dont think theres any way you would be dissappoint. Although i will say his prices have gone up a little and for 1800-2000 i think there are alot of better options out there.

The Fano jazzmaster type guitars look nice, except they all have that "distressed" finish. Umm, yuck.

Yeah his prices used to be really livable. I played one he made for uh.....its like the plastic scenes or plasticines or something..... theyre rich or something i think. but yeah they were playing this vodka party and i was trying to fuck the guitarist but ended up talking about her gear more. But yeah it was nice and didnt have all the relic shit but ended up looking like something schecter would make...

Ha, the Creston dude uses old barn beams and stuff some times, but he doesn't relic guitars at all.
I'm not into the ones that ol' girl paints for him, either.

Fanos are significantly more expensive and they all have that fucking Tonestyler tone knob.
K-Lines are more expensive as well, though not as pricey as Fanos.
I have a K-Line, btw, and it rules pretty fucking hard.
Nash doesn't sell un-reliced guitars at all.

Vintage is radd, but I would hate to mod a vintage guitar, and I can't think of a vintage axe
that isn't a LOT of money that I could buy and be happy with unmodded.

I need to look into the MJT stuff and see if I can get an offset body pre-routed for WRHBs.

Jeph Jaques plays a Creston a lot for Deathmole recordings, and had great things to say about them. He played a PRS McCarty previous to it, so I'd imagine they're hardly awful.

I'm not sure about much other offset stuff, but if you've got some money to throw around, Warmoth can also do you some niceness.
