I'm in love it. :)

That won't be the name--it's just a placeholder/joke. (See below for names I'm kicking around.)

Like the TONES???

EDIT: Video temporarily down...real demo coming soon!

Nice, I'll take it! Std mode sounds sweet, reeeally dig those cleaner tones 1:15 - 2:00. The second mode would be cool to futz with for some fuzzy tasty trash. And I love that nasty clipping, I think it may get lost in a band setting tho unless it has some punch behind it, but it's not a big deal really...hell, I wouldn't give up the chaos switch on my de:SM.

Oh yeh, the name is cool but it may be confusing to those that don't know the meaning behind it, but screw em. Also, probably just me and my crappy eyeballs but I originally thought it said "MindOf", not "MindEf" on the pedal, then I read the Youtube header.

From the demo's I like it better than any other fuzz I've heard from you. :thumb:

That's a surprisingly wide rang of textures there.

Is it the way you were playing or did it get darker as the texture (fuzz, gain?) was turned up?

I like it.
As for the name, I'd probably end up pronouncing it Mind Dot or Mine Dot, but I'm not quite right.

Although the hippy graphics do go well with Mind Dot.

It's got a really sweet nice at the beginning, and then that nasty fuzz at 3:30-4:00 I think it should be pretty versatile.
If it can make me throw away the big muff i'll buy one ;)

Thanks for all the feedback so far! :) I'm realllllly excited about all the tones this one can do.

I'm almost positive the name won't remain, since it's just something I put on the prototype. I just have to brainstorm hardcore for a bit.

Yes, the standard mode gets darker and bassier as you turn it up...both modes, when you back off, gets sharper, brighter and cleaner. It really does some awesome overdrives and distortions. :)

I like.

The standard mode sounds great top top bottom. The second mode looks like it can hit a neat range of tones. I think I'd use it more dialed back. Does dialing back the guitar volume have a similar effect of controlling the texture?

I don't like the sideways mxr type enclosure. I'm apt to hit the knobs when I stomp on the switches.

That is suh-weet! I like that you can get both OD and fuzz insanity out of that one little pedal. I agree with Caesar about the layout - I think that if I were to order one, I'd want a vertical layout, with the 2nd mode controlled by a flipswitch, a la the standard DE chaos-mode pedals... but that's just because I tend to have each of my pedals tailored to a very specific sound, and don't tend to click between modes on the fly, but between pedals.

All in all: :thumb:  :animal:

Oh, and +1 on the trippy art! I likes!

Is this based on the crazy LED-circuit prototype you posted earlier?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! :) Very helpful.
And that's the goal--a mysterious little box that delivers on OD, dist, fuzz, and insanity!

I might go vertical with it.
Jrmy--the crazy LED-circuit proto was sort of a starting point for experimenting with the crazier side of the pedal, but just as an inspiration.

Now, the name!!!

Love the fuzz tones, and the versatility! :thumb:

Not so sure about those names, though. Ultimately it's not the most important thing, but I really like the idiosyncratic names - Algal Bloom! No one calls a fuzz pedal an Algal Bloom!

The name is part of the package and mystique, though.
I feel the tone is there. So the name's my final hurdle.

Normally, I wait to show any vids until I've got the perfect name, but I can't help but involve my ilovefuzz friends!

I'm big on the idiosyncratic names (as you can tell, haha), just considering everything for this one.
I wanted to get at the inexplicable nature of the pedal and/or its versatility, but I'm staying open until something really starts clicking.

Siege Engine is available, which has me tempted (I had offered it to Deep Space, but he's holding off on the overdriver as the circuit board is redesigned). But I waffled on that name before, tossed it around the boards in a couple contexts, so it might cause a little confusion.

I also really like the colorful graphics, and want something in line with them.

Some name ideas:

ion channel
(those are pore-forming proteins that help establish and control the small voltage gradient across the plasma membrane of all living cells by allowing the flow of ions down their electrochemical gradient - thanks Wikipedia!)

Node of Ranvier
(these are the gaps (approximately 1 micrometer in length) formed between the myelin sheaths generated by different cells)

Action Potential
(a self-regenerating wave of electrochemical activity that allows excitable cells (such as muscle and nerve cells) to carry a signal over a distance.)

I don't know why, but the 2nd channel reminds me of sizzling synapses - hence all the neurological suggestions... plus synapses lend themselves to great psychedelic artwork...

Some cool suggestions--they got me looking. From neural then to electricity, and I think I've got it.

Siege Engine is a top name! Whatever you decide though, all the previous ones have been very cool.
