BC Rich anyone?

Post by CBGB »

Beautiful, and cheap. Maybe swp out the pickups but awesome guitars for country, alternative psychedelic noise....

Yup. Matt Pike was playing a 9-string with a similar setup for a while. Lower single strings for the chugga-wugga, upper doubled strings for naturally chorused crazy leads. Or something like that.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I have no shame, I use a nice Mockinbird as my synth bass. I installed a Roland GK3B pickup and put picollo strings on it.

I say go for it, especially the 10 stringer.

i have always liked bc rich's...especially those with the big R on the headstock. mockingbirds, eagle and the 10 string bitch are classics. they aren't considered kool by the indy kids...which in turn makes them kool to us that just don't give a fuck.
that said...i've never owned one and prolly never will. :idk: ...

My wife has one of those cheap BCR Warlocks, it's surprising how good it sounds.

mockingbirds are cool as fuck.

as is the seagull.

i think its funny that BC Richs are basically largely overlooked by anyone that isnt in a jam band or a black metal band.

but on the whole, most of their designs are shit. aka the ones that weren't designed way back in the day.

I loved my Warlock bass. I played it for "Phantom of the Opera" in high school.
