I have a hard time understanding Eastwood. They copy cheap instruments, and sell them in the upper/mid price range. And from what I've heard from others on the internet is the quality isn't anything to get excited about.

I snagged an used Eastwood Classic 6 (Gretsch-a-like) on the 'Bay a while back, and the quality is surprisingly good. Same for the Stratotones I've played, pretty cool. But that's as far as my experience goes.

Yeah, I'm fine with my Gretsch G5265 JetBaritone which is their take on bass VI. Just as cheap, too, can't be any bit worse.
Though it has to be said that in this price category, it's all about testing the geets first and finding the good ones that were not assembled in Monday hang over, by that forgetful new guy of the company who has two shaking left hands and no tool skills.

Oh? Well it's been around for what? Two years already? Agile Argus has apparently been a shit hot stepping stone to the bass vi territory for many.
Yeah, I got one and I love it hard. Plus, cheaper, on the real.
I have to consider getting one myself because... going onstage without a spare makes me feel uneasy, since every now and then the strings can't take a lively show.
