The Elements May 2012 - Binary Code Message

Post by Ryan »

Time for a new Elements finish! This one is based off one of our favourite crop circles, check out this picture:

binary code crop circle.jpg

And check out the story here (http://www.unsolvedrealm.com/2011/04/21/crop-circles-receiving-messages-in-binary-code/), long story short back in the 70s SETI beamed a coded message out into space that basically told the tale of life here on earth, like the elements we're made of, our position in the solar system, our physical make up and DNA and population, our method of transmitting the info... cool planetary and humanity stuff like that. In the picture above our message from the 70s is on the left with the explanation of what it all means in the middle. On the right is the message we got back...

In 2001 a crop circle was found that had a very similar binary coded message except the information was about a different planet, different solar system, different physical form, different transmission method. Pretty cool hey!

I'm not saying it's true, I'm not saying it ain't, but it's cool as heck and it's the theme for this new Elements... The Binary Code Elements!

Ahh!! :omg:

Not saying I should have waited for one of these, but I like this at least as much as the Alchemy finish. So awesome. It definitely makes me want 2... yeah I can justify that: one for high gain and one for low, sure

I'd love to see one of these beside the current Frazz finish. Seems like they were made for each other.
