thanks! it's a mash-up of my own design using a jfet buffer, a single transistor boost/overdrive and a fuzz face-inspired circuit. the 3 switches are:

1/2 ... changes the order from overdrive>fuzz to fuzz>overdrive
+/- ... selects between 2 different voltage settings for different gain options/compression/"feel"
./../... chooses 3 different settings for different EQ/fuzz response (blocking distortion)

knob is volume so it's full fuzz all the time.

DAT HAWK. That's really neat looking, and sounds like it will have sounds to match!

Very cool. Why vertical layouts, just curious? For me it probably does work better for board space, but the horizontal ones had their charm too. I assume you can do 5 knobs/2 footswitches on the new layout (i.e. TAFM, etc.)?

Major GAS for a Blargg, Mountain Range (when either/both are produced) and probably a new layout TAFM too.

the main reasons are that i wanted to make more board space available to peeps. every time i see a board shot of a bunch of EQD pedals or something i get jelly... they just look so good! also, just to change things up. i still like the horizontal layouts for sure, but these are nice - the switches and stuff are a little further away from the stomps as well.

yeah the 5 knob layout will be fine - it'll be slightly different but i think the second row of knobs/switches will be a row of 4 - knob, knob, switch, switch.

i'll definitely be doing more blarggs in this format!

I really shouldn't be buying anything at all right now seeing as I'm in the midst of doing my practicum for school (yay, a month of full time work for no pay!), but depending on just how cheap the Hawk is I may bite the bullet and go for it. And I'll certainly be getting a shirt.
