But mine sounds awesome and holds tune perfectly despite heavy bending and heavy bigsby (I put that on) use.
The pots have started to get real crackly though and the neck is a bit narrow.
Some of those 70s Jap guitars are beasts. I'd snap these up if you can?

No, there're good ones. Some of the higher end instruments are well made.

My main guitar is an Inter-Mark Cipher. (I've actually got two of 'em.) They're very well made for Japanese guitars of their era. Almost an anomaly?

For whatever reason, I love the hell out of those old knockoff SGs. The horns are just slightly overdone, and it looks so cool to me. I really want to get one of the teiscos that have SG horns and an offset tail. Those things are hot.

I'd kill to find an old teisco in a shop for $20-50. I've been searching for years for one.

My dad played an old Teisco for years.
Played it in bars for about 5 hours a nit 2 nights a week for about 10 odd years with acoustic strings.
Wore huge grooves into the lower frets.
In the end it got smashed by some agro skinheads.
Such a shame, I kinda hoped I'd inherit it.
4 pickups, and he'd customised it to route the two neck ones to a seperate bass amp cause he mainly played in two pieces bands with no bass player.

Not to derail, but I totally want to hear your dad's music. Any recordings out there? That setup sounds badass.

i have a teisco et-200 and it sounds awesome
im always wishin i had the one with the more sg shape
the pickups are crazy microphonic, like youll hear your farts in the delay
and the spring tremelos are nice
you can get crazy sounds out of them if thats what your into
but gettin them cheap is key
